In 2001, The Worlds first Kickstarter was born. A group of friends formed the board game company Rebellion and set out to create a new format for gaming. We created the idea of our own Kickstarter, the game that we wanted to be played, the one that would truly be our magnum opus. It would be the game that would define the company. It would be the game we would be known for. It would be Labyronia.
Labbyronia was designed as a game with a simple premise. One player would be the Labyrinth Master and the other would be the characters. These two characters, the Labyrinth Master and his or her followers, would roam about the Labyrinth trying to save a captive person. The Labyrinth Master would be responsible for randomly dropping clues and interacting with the characters. The clues and the interactions would be in response to the other players’ actions. They would be the only actions that could cause a player to lose a game round. In order to win a game round, a player must be the first to save a captive. A Labyrinth Master has many years to accumulate clues and thus has many opportunities to win the game. What makes Labyrinths unique is that it has the potential to be an interactive RPG experience. In other words, you play Labyronia as a player’s character, but you can gain clues and XP just by wandering about the board. These clues and XP can be used to level up. Levels grant you the ability to do things like enter doors, randomly travel in time, or get your enemy into battle. Levels can also be spent on a Labyronian potion. These potions can grant you special abilities to help you in the game.
Labyronia is a game that is very about exploration. The players have no real way to guarantee that they will be the first to rescue a captive, as the Labyrinth Master will have time to gather clues and the player’s actions will drive the game. To some, this may seem frustrating, but it is the entire goal of the game. The game is an exploration and puzzle driven RPG with a truly interactive feel. A game that is not at all dependent upon a fixed dice roll.

Here is a simple and quick and easy dinner. This is one of my sister’s favorite dishes, and we have been making it for as long as I can remember. I’m sure broccoli Bob’s lovers would love it too. It is very light and it pairs well with almost any starch, and you can substitute the shrimp for chicken too – just be sure and shred the chicken a little bit. (The chicken is a lifesaver if you accidentally overcook the broccoli or rice and you’re still hungry. Well, you can always eat the chicken after doing the broccoli. ha ha. Don’t worry, you won’t be left with a mess of overcooked rice or mushy broccoli 🙂
Broccoli Bob’s Quik Dinners are the quick and easy clean up. Simply put your vegetable (or meat) into a rice cooker. Add a little bit of water and rice, sprinkle with garlic powder and kosher salt (to taste), and stir. Bake at 400 for around 20-25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes or so.
Serve with a side of ketchup (for the meat) or Spicy Sweet Mayo, or whatever you like.
Stir/cook for 6 mins, stirring after 3 mins. Let cook for another 2-3 mins. Stir in garlic & parsley. Cook an additional 20-30 minutes at 400, stirring every 10-12 mins.
Plate:
Arrange green onions on top of rice and broccoli.
Stir in wine and hot pepper sauce.
Add cooked meat to the curry.
Garnish with fresh parsley and lime slices.

Curry: Every time I went to Bob’s, I was looking for something spicy that had as much good depth of flavor as you can get, but that could be served with rice as well. I was always looking for something with chicken.
Rice: They always had good rice. The curries were always good, spicy, with the right amount of fat and starch to it. They had amazing seafood curries, so I wanted those curries too.
Chicken: She had chicken curries, too. I loved how they made them so light! A little garlic, a little kick of spice, but with a good amount of creaminess to it.
