Drivers are often to be found in google.com , but are not always up to date. The latest drivers are usually available here. It is important that the driver in your computer recognizes the device correctly. (If you cannot see your device it is not a driver problem but a missing device.)

If you can find a USB based software for Windows, you can just take the CD out of the drive. It is highly unlikely that you have a license, but it may be worthwhile to play with it as USB/VID_EB1A&PID_2861&MI=00 drivers are often not fully compatible with your software. If you like the software, you can install the drivers while you have the CD in the drive.

I think your problem lies in the driver – the XP drivers still work fine with Windows 7 and Vista and will probably work with Windows 8.1. However, I can’t test it since I don’t have either Windows 7 or 8.1 installed at the moment.

Also, I’m not sure which version of the Fushicai USBTV007 you have but their website has a list of the models on the bottom of their main page and it has your model number listed in that table. Maybe it’s listed there.

I’m afraid I don’t have any experience with audio capture for Windows, but the drivers for Windows should be virtually the same for Linux. If I can provide any more help, please post again. I’m sure someone here will be able to help.

I tried it and the video worked with the beta driver version I downloaded from the Easycap support site, but the audio would not work. I have tried several different versions of the drivers and had the same result for all of them. Unfortunately, the form I tried to send is currently being blocked in various e-mail programs. I hope to get it in soon, but right now it’s lost.

the [ user’s manual ] was put up so people would have a quick look on how to use the [ driver’s manual ] is to set up the usb tape driver. the driver itself is contained in a simple package, called u-storage. let’s start with the installation:
2. download the u-storage file (named u-storage.exe) and save it on your desktop. now, go to the folder where you downloaded the drivers and double-click on u-storage.exe. from the now opened window, hit the “browse” button to select the usbtape device. click “next” in the search window, and select “ok”. the program will scan the drive to identify it.
the driver that shipped with the device is not reliable, nor does it support the audio hardware for which it was designed. as a potential buyer beware, if you are not particularly experienced with usb devices, this is not a driver you want.
friend, if you wish to keep on using the driver for the device that i had purchased, here is the updated version that i had. i also posted this on my facebook page (just click the link on my profile) for my friends as well. hope that helps with your device.
i use the “easycap v. 2.1e” dc-60-007 – bluetooth version, but since there’s usbtv007 easycap driver for that model downloadable from the manufacturer’s website. they also offer installation software to create the drivers. so to be sure to go to their website and download the newest version. the most important files you’ll find on the website are called setup_hardware.exe and setup_usb.exe. unless, easycap is really overpriced, it should come with this driver. your dun profile should also be in the usb driver.
