Addendum: It’s a non-sequitur to point out that a minority of people smoke cannabis and that legalizing it would “encourage” people to use it. Legalization just …
Just watched Steven's full interview with the doctor and I've seen him on Rogan's show talking about this topic as well. I think your video was well done. Steven did say he gets the libertarian position when people stop pretending it's a miracle drug with no negative side effects. It seems to me the very short term effects are much worse with alcohol but all these studies get pretty confusing on really gauging how safe it is. As a libertarian leaning conservative, I think you're conclusion is spot on. At the end of the day, libertarians fundamently shouldn't care about the medical theories as it is a matter of freedom. The drug war is ineffective and addicts shouldn't be thrown in cages for victimless crimes. While clearly you have stats to back up the relative safety of weed, I think you and Crowder agree more than it seems. His argument for leaving it to the states is a very Constitutionalist pro-10th Amendment anti big government view. It's not very intellectually consistent to grant the federal government power when it comes to affirmative laws on issues you agree with while maintaining that liberty requires less regulation period. I am a Christian and think lots of things should be legal that I view as morally wrong. Anyway, good video!
Do you think that his view on cannabis has changed since this video in 2012 due to new research because it seems like he aims to get information from professionals and doctors?
good video this shit has been needing to be debunked forever.
