  1. The 12 step program is a cult. Every year you gotta apologize to the same people over and over. Bringing up old feelings that lead you to addiction. Being right at the cusp of using and the only way you "pass" is if you don't falter… but being around a bunch of addicts on methadone and suboxone nodding off while you are sober puts a toll on your psyche. And eventually you will falter. 90% of people in the 12 step program fail, not because they want to, but that's the catch of the program. They want you to fail so they can badger you and make you feel horrible. They beat you down while they are on methadone and sub telling you YOU ARE WRONG FOR USING when they are the ones cheating sobriety. Be cautious people! You can do this on your own! I am 6 years sober on my own accord! It's mind over matter!
