How to Pot Up Your Tomato Seedlings – The Beginner's Guide to Growing Your Own Veg Pt 5
So it’s been ten days since I planted the tomato seeds and already they are growing quite tall, so it’s time to pot them up. Today I am joined by a special helper, …
I've also recently planted San Marzano tomato seedlings! Do you have any more tips for this variety? Thanks in advance!
Great update! Mine are a bit leggy too, but otherwise growing. Little behind yours but that depends on variety, so I may re-pot on weekend. But I am excited to follow along 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
My son's name is Ethan too. Great lessons in self sufficiency for him!
Now for my question (lol), can one allow the tomatoes to grow a little bigger (say to the true leaf point) when there’s more than one seeded to a tray? I know their roots can get quite tangled. Also, why mustn’t one handle the stem of plants? Just curious. Another great video Steve!!
Ethan, you’re learning what really matters for the future. Books can only teach so much. Our homeschooled 5 (been homeschooling now for 7 years), are building a garden oasis on our 2 acres with fruits and vegies, fruit trees, preserves, cooking, sourdoughs, vermicomposting, sewing, rabbitry to name a few. Kids love this stuff and they learn all they need to know with practical application alongside of all that they learn in the books. You’ve got a great and wise dad!! From all of us in Fall River!
