  1. M dpx2 is making squishy chirping sound even w can taken off.sounds like coming from pigging back? What could it be? Can piggy back be serviced?

  2. Se puede instalar en cualquier posición el shock? Tengo una bici Orbea RALLON con este tipo de shock y pretendo invertir la posición para poder alojar una ánfora más grande. Es correcto invertir la posición sin que con ello pueda funcionar mal el shock?

  3. Kinda disappointed I am having to send my dpx2 into fox due to cavatation. $180 dollars to fix it is a hard pill to swallow just over a year old.

  4. I find the same results as you with the DPX2 while climbing. I have the current rendition of the Pivot Mach6 Carbon with the DW link suspension. I climb in the open position and it really does a good job with hardly any felt bobbing in the rear.

  5. Eh gotta disagree there… The float X2 lockout totally sucks. Almost does nothing at all. Yes, after A year and a half on my Nomad… I randomly test rode a Hightower LT, the DPX2 is quite remarkable how form it gets. But the float X2 you can pretty much leave 'locked' 24/7 😂

  6. Hey Jeff . What is your setting on your Dpx2 ? Your type of ridding is how i ride i ride . I want to set mine up like your? please help me ..

  7. Loved your review (and riding), but missed one thing: quality of compression, especially on square edge hits. My DPS spikes on these hits, even with the compression on the lowest setting. Did you find the same thing and how does the DPX2 compare ?

  8. The advantage of the x2 on the down hill is that it is much more plush, and really absorbs everything it rolls over. The dpx2 is much more responsive and poppy.

  9. I am new to the air shocks since I had one installed on my Raleigh M-30FS bike for improve performance. When I leave the switch in the middle on my Fox DPS, I have to say that the bike rides like a hard tail bike with no lost of energy for pedaling on flats, uphills and downhills.

  10. Great review and comparison. I tested the DPX2 head2head with a Topaz T3 on my ION – 15. The DPX2 seems more controlled, but also a bit harsher. The air chamber tuning on the topaz, together with the really plush initial stroke made me keep the Topaz for further experimenting. Both shocks have a good medium setting by the lever, which just adds a little more LC relative to the "open" mode. (so the lever on both is actually useful for more than climbing). Would be great to hear your opinions about the Topaz.

  11. nice job, looks like a great piece. now what's your opinion for the people who do mostly slow speed tech. where i live avg trail speeds are 5 to 10 mph with techy rock gardens that require constant pedaling.. perhaps that falls into the techy climb performance category you covered?

  12. hi jeff i have a hd 3 and have been having a really hard time with rear shocks and which one to run im 6' 4" 280 lbs and closer to 300 when geared up do you have any recommendations for which shock i should run on my bike? i live here on the east coast in vt amd ride killington area and our secert trails we have in goshen big hits and super rocky just to give you an idea of what i ride. thanks and cheers.

  13. Got this shock on my HD4. One thing to note is that it takes quite a bit more PSI than a 'normal' shock to set sag properly. Normally you'd go geared up rider weight in PSI which would be 180 for me. I had to put in over 200 psi, and yes I cycled the shock every 50 psi per the manual. Once dialed though I'm with Jeff, this shock is pretty awesome, though it should come with the volume spacer kit stock.

  14. Hey Jeff. The DPX2 that comes on the stock Ibis bikes are not available with the 10 clicks of Low speed dampening adjustment. What do you think of your Factory version vs the stock performance version? The lack of adjustment caused me to shy away from the stock DPX2.

  15. Great video, I like the little shock pictures. You should get a video at cutthroat pass, I was there Sunday and it looked like you could find some crazy lines on the side.
