  1. It helps so many people. The thc in cbd is the best mix to get. As per dosage. Here is how I have done it. You start with one drop for a few days to a week, then you increase each time by a drop each time. Please don’t be hard on yourself. You want what’s best for her and that is so clear to all of us. If you want to contact me I am happy to share any info I can. Mine is not for seizures it is for my auto immune disease. I too was unsure of using it at first. But it does help. Prayers lifting you up. May you find comfort in your choice to give or not give.

  2. I’m from Canada where the government regulates the cannabis products being sold in stores. Doctors here can prescribe medicinal cannabis and tell you which ones are better for specific needs. I do know that my mom’s patients who are epileptic, have chronic arthritis, etc. at her care home use either the oil or the pill version, once a day, and they’re fully functional at that point. The oil (at least the ones here) is mixed with coconut oil so when you drop a few under your tongue all you taste is coconut. My friend has insomnia and has had it for the latter part of 6yrs. She recently started using CBD oil and 1-2 drops a night knocks her out for a good 10-12hrs and would wake up without feeling a high. I would recommend you get the CBD oil that doesn’t have traces for THC and start with that. It’s kind of a learning curve until you find the one that works best

  3. The THC is what gives you the high effect and the CBD is what calms you down. My sister has had epilepsy since she was 9 and she is 50 now and she takes CBD oil and or the gummies along with her 3 sezure meds and it helps. Also my step son has had epilepsy since he was 3 months old and he is 21 now and does the same along with his kepra. I would try the lowest dose to start with and do it for 2 weeks cause it takes any medication 2 weeks to enter your system properly and see how it goes and if they can do the home EEG to monitor her during the day and when she sleeps to see if it is working or not.

  4. I understand your hesitation with it I was too at first I don’t deal with epilepsy but I deal with severe chronic pain that effects my ability to walk and have been tossed so many addictive meds by drs I went completely off what they were trying to force at me when it wasn’t working and turned towards cbd and I been able to control my pain more now then on those other meds the drs we’re giving me and I am not addicted to it it has given my life back and I have had controlled pain for about a year and a half almost two years

  5. Hey crystal, I am 12 almost 13. I personally take CBD oil to help me with my anxiety, now let me tell you a very important fact there are some WITHOUT THC. That is the drug that is in CBD. now I want to make something a bit clearer about it there are many different options taking CBD however you can have gummy’s and or liquid. The medication that I take doesn’t have any drugs. I see your confusion and frustration. I just want to help. Thank you !!!

  6. I use CBd oil for my ADHD and anxiety. The brand I trust is hempworks. The company is based in las Vargas, they are one on the purest, organic. And they offer 500,750,and 1500 stranghth. They also offer gummies. The 500,750, and the gummies are thc free.

  7. I applaud your decision to help your child. My recommendation it to please make sure to check the purity and quality of any CBD you guys decide to use. There are a lot out there, and not all of them can trace the oil back to the field it was grown in and the distillation process used. I’m not saying this is the only good one on the market, but I feel Young Living Essential Oils wouldn’t out their company name on something that wasn’t completely pure. So check out the partnership between Young Living and Nature’s Ultra.

  8. I am usually a silent watcher of your videos but I just had to comment this time. I am from the UK and work in the medical field. CBD oil isn’t widely used for epilepsy here as it it in the states however, I have come across two people who debilitating seizure disorders who have managed to get some type of quality of life after commencing CBD oil. It’s in it’s early stages of research in the UK however it’s really gaining support from families who are in a similar situation to yours.
I can understand where you come from as a Christian (I’m one too), however I strongly believe it’s no different to using opiate based pain relief (codeine, vicodin etc) they’re both derived from plant sources. With CBD oil you’re also not giving THC (which causes the high) to Aurora.

Most importantly I think you should speak to your doctor as CBD oil isn’t a cure for epilepsy, it’s a treatment albeit a natural one especially when you don’t want to give Aurora more pharmaceutical meds.

Hope it helps. Please feel free to message me if I can help with anything else.

  9. I have a patient who has epilepsy. At times she has 5-6 per week and her parents have been to every specialist near us. But in the end the parents and we as the team who work with her had to accept that her seizures would never go away. She’s been on medication all her life and for now it’s normal for her to have 3-4 seizures a week. And there’s nothing we can do about it. But I see how hard it is on her and her body. She tells us all the time that everything hurts after a seizure. Seeing her and hearing how often aurora has seizures I think everything that could help should at least be tried out.

  10. There is a family on YouTube called “graceforthemillers” and their son is prone to seizures. They use CBD oil and it is working. They have several videos that talk about it and give helpful information.

  11. I don't know if you have watched some of Grace for the millers vlogs? They have a boy who have seizures and they started on cbd oil. So I recommend to get in touch with them 🙂

  12. Crystal, contact Amanda from the Grace for the Millers channel. She has a very young son that is on it right now. They use Charlotte’s web. They are a wonderful Christian family. I think you will respect her opinion who have adopted 4 children. They are in China right now traveling to take their kids to their home towns but they should be back soon. I wish you guys all the best and hope you get results that help Aurora.
PS. My son has his seizures when he is sleeping also. He started as an adult. Very scary. Right now it seems the medication has them under control. Thank God.

  13. My neurologist recommended CBD oil for my seizures. I’ve only been on it about a month but after about a week I noticed a huge decrease in seizures and my life quality in general has increased. I have another EEG coming up soon, so I’ll be sure to update you on the change after adding CBD to my treatment list. Feel free to reply if I can help any other way, I’d be happy to discuss with you. Good luck and love you guys!!!

  14. Hey Crystal, I have been watching “Grace For The Millers” on YouTube. They have a Adopted son that have seizures, and they have CBD oil for a few months now. He have rarely have Seizures.
He have been doing so well

    Love from 🇸🇬 Singapore!

  15. hi, crystal and Aaron my name is rose and I am 14 years old turning 15 in 2 months I used to have absent seizures when I was 7 until I was about 10-11 but I never had a tonic-clonic seizure which I was grateful for that and so was my family. however, did I have to use different medication and had to take a had to take 8 pills a day 4 in the morning 4 at night.which from my understanding is a high dosage. unfortunately, I can't give any advice on CBD oil but I also watch "Grace For The Millers" and they use CBD oil on their son. id just recommend don't rush into anything and do your research first and make sure you both feel comfortable before committing to it. that's so great Arora has ben tonic-clonic free for how long she has been. I know its hard and I may not know the full struggle but I can kinda understand what you are going through. I believe and hope aroura dose eventually outgrow epilepsy and I hope you know however tough it gets there is a light t the end of the tunnel. even though I'm only 14 I hope my advice is somewhat useful.

  16. Check out Haleighs hope! They do lab reports and testing on their product and they have a Facebook page for parents that I’ve found very helpful. They will help you with dosing and have a dosage calculator. We have tried 7 prescription meds over the years with no seizure control. My daughter still has seizures but they have gotten so so much better and even had a period of seizure freedom for 6 months. It’s also really helped her developmentally. Her focus is much better and she is starting to sign now.

  17. Having said that, I do need to comment on what you think CBD oil is. It doesn't contain the drug. It's a completely different product and yes, it can be amazing. But when her current medication is doing its job, I wouldn't ruin that.

  18. This site might help.

Stay away from anything that is from an MLM or one of those newer companies that have been popping up. Look for third-party testing and how they grow their plants. Always double read the label to make sure it doesn't have the THC if that's how you want to proceed.

Keep in mind CBD doesn't work in just a couple dosages. You have to use it for weeks to months and all results are individual. There is no universal or common dose and you may have to change how you take it. Some find the gummies OK others find they have to use tinctures.
CBD is one of those things that has to build up in your body and then once you find a therapeutic level you maintain that until something changes or you build up a tolerance. If that happens you take a break and start all over at a low dose.

Genetics, metabolism, and biochemistry all play a roll in how well your body reacts. 20% of Americans won't find CBD much help because of genetics.
You can get if from Hemp or Cannabis and with or without THC. THC is the part of the plant that gets you "high". The reason some have THC is that the THC helps open the endocannabinoid system receptors in the body and allows the CBD better bioavailability but it's NOT necessary and in some cases, it's better to not have any in the CBD.

The above web site has a lot of info on what you need to know. 🙂

Some of the brands they list are pluscbdoil. com (hemp-based), CBDistillery, NuLeaf Naturals, cbdMD, Endoca (hemp-based and organically grown in Denmark, ships worldwide), Medterra (non-GMO hemp from Kentucky),

and there's more listed on this page (link posted below) from that same site.
They also list any discount codes they may have going on.

  19. I get where you’re coming from with CBD but you give your children prescription drugs. Maybe do research on that as well because I think it’s kind of contradicting. “FDA” regulation doesn’t mean it’s great for your kid.

  20. Crystal, I left you a comment on FB – look at the channel "Grace for the Millers", they use a CBD oil for seizures for their young son, they also put him on keto diet. Maybe you will get necessary information. Good luck!

  21. I would look at every option available to treat a condition, to make an informed decision. . i would research her condition via latest journals, the research behind it, i'd look at the science , look at the latest medical studies and trials. i would look at all the options available to treat her condition but find whats best for her. i would look at natural and hollistic medicines but also traditional. It sounds as though you are seeking in finding a balance that will both help her condition but also not put her through so much .
Theres a difference between abusing "drugs" and using something as cbd oil for medicinal purposes .

the following universities and centers ( in the USA )are epilepsy centers with track records of conducting high-quality research in epilepsy , according to http://www.efepa.org :New York University, University of California San Francisco, Mayo Rochester, Minnesota Epilepsy Group, Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, Northwell Health, and Vanderbilt University.
it seems that they are doing a resistant focal seizure study that perhaps its something you may want to look into or benefit from.

  22. When I was in 4th grade there was a kid who had absence thing and the teacher had to make changes to how we did stuff and they had to write down when the kid had a one and it toke a little a bit to get use to the changes. I don't know what you are going though but I will pray for you every step of the way my 2nd cousin gets things like that but he doesn't get absence things

  23. cbd oil does not contain thc in most cases, buy from a reliable source and read the labels. marijuana is a plant and used for medicine in many cultures… it is not the same as cbd oil, tho. as a former phys asst, i recommended cbd and thc to patients depending on their circumstances. i strongly feel trying cbd oil might be beneficial and worth the attempt. as long as it does not contain thc, she won't get 'high'. i do not class marijuana the same as narcotics… and i feel fda recommendation does not mean its safe… gov't regulates nicotine, alcohol, pharmaceutical and food industries, too…. lol. good luck with your decision, if you try cbd oil, i hope it helps her!! <3 🙂

  24. I think you should try her on the lowest dose of the CBD oil and see how it effects her because just with food or any medication it can cause unpleasant reactions and see if you notice any changes within a week or so if not try increasing the CBD amount dont be afraid it wont hurt her it should calm her brain from going haywire and she should react more normal as in less episodes I hear it helps alot of people you gotta do what's best for your child or daughter dont worry about losing subscribers I personally use CBD oil on occasion and it's really nice it's interesting yet it's still under many testings and such she will be ok on it she wont become addicted etc prayers for the sweet Aurora
