David Tennant has revealed he was almost cast as instead of …but only realised it recently.
The actor, 51, had been in the dark about the mammoth opportunity until a director told him producers Barbara Broccoli and her half-brother Michael G. Wilson had put him on a list of potential 007s.
During an appearance on the podcast, he said: ‘I worked with a director recently who had worked with the Broccolis who was like, “Yeah, you were on the list that time.”

‘I was like, “What time? What are you talking about?” He went, “Yeah, the last time.” I suppose it must have been Daniel Craig, before that I would have been a child.
‘I think it was quite a long list and I don’t think I was ever near the top of it. But apparently so.’
Eventually, Daniel was announced as the latest Bond in time for 2006’s casino siteleri Royale, while David played the 10th Doctor Who between 2005 and 2010.

She also noted that it was difficult to encourage Daniel Craig, now 54, to take on the role in 2006, adding: ‘And he was in his 30s at the time.’
It comes afterproducers have said the upcoming movies in the franchise will have bigger roles for women and see a more ’emotional’ side to the 007 spy.
