  1. Now I just dont know WHAT the hell to do anymore…… My skincare regimen seems to be going quite well and I have many samples I've bought and collected over the months because I am interested in different ingredients and methods to see which are most effective. Right now, my main line is Saranghae a K beauty brand and my skin actually looks REALLY GOOD for 32. People always say I look early to mid 20's!! Guys, these products really do do good for your skin, and the points she is making are just that you don't need to be overly paranoid about certain ingredients that have received a bad reputation that dont have much grounds for such claims. Hyaluronic acid, retinol, certain extracts, vitamin C, green tea, peptides, anything collagen and elastin related, jojoba oil, lactic acid, and many more are all tried and tested components that make up effective skincare to help with the health and slowing of aging of skin- a process that is really a lot about the loss of fatty acids, collagen, and elasticity of your skin as well as drying as your skin ages. Anything that targets those areas does help. Another ingredient that gets a bad rap is dimethicone which helps facilitate absorption of other ingredients in a proprietary blend, otherwise those good ingredients will just sit on top of the skin and not sink into multiple layers. If I'm wrong in any of this, call me out! I'm super interested in this stuff and kind of obsessed with skincare but it is a never ending battle and unending search for the truth and the "best" way.

  2. Thank you for speaking up about this. As someone with a science background these sites and this movement drives me crazy. Everything is a chemical even water, H2O. It's not the chemical it's the amount. Drink too much H2O and you can die too, yet we can't live without it.If any of these people had ever seen a Pseudomonius infection they'd be damn quick to put preservatives back in. Keep up the good work.

  3. Thank you for this. Many of these phenomena are just sophisticated long cons. Using science, experience and common sense to fight them is a must. I appreciate your using your medical knowledge for truth.

  4. The carcinogen products need to be put on notice, and American's need to continue to educate themselves regarding any products that are harmful to humans.

  5. Whenever I use sulfates in my hair, it gets coarse and rough. When I use sulfate-free ingredients with less harsh detergents, my hair is soft and detangles easily. So, yes, I'm a sulfate-free person.

  6. Who runs the FDA? besides the drug companies. Who oversees the medical schools ? – big contributors like the drug companies. So maybe "clean beauty" is necessary to fight the drug infested cosmetic companies. And when talking about the "unnecessary" preservatives – interesting that clean beauty products that don't have the preservatives are good products – SO WHY DO WE NEED ALL THE CHEMICAL PRESERVATIVES ??? This video is filled with FEAR MONGERING rather than embracing the fact that doctors are trained by the DRUG COMPANIES which is" harmful in itself.

  7. I saw (and reported for false information) a review of the Cerave moisturizing cream on amazon going as far as to say that petrolatum and dimethicone are toxic ingredients that have been banned from being put into any products by the EU in 2004, when in reality they're present in a lot of different products, including BABY RASH BALM. People aren't buying products with these ingredients because some idiot on the internet decided that edible coconut oil is a better option. The internet is a great source of information *when used correctly*, so thanks Dr Dray for spreading knowledge and fighting against misinformation.

  8. Dr Dray, I've said it before and I'll say it again… thank you for being so transparent in your discourse when addressing areas of public health. I love when you post the references for us to do our own research, I have actually since used some of them in essays for college classes. I am very impressed. I hope you continue serving good interests and wish you good health always and hope more physicians follow in your foot steps.

  9. So eyeopening Dr. Dray….. OMG I am a clean beauty lover but now I am not sure….. I am just trying to limit exposure to chemicals that could potentially harm me….
