  1. Your hair is going yes yes I'm glad you're letting it to grow cuz you got beautiful hair and a lot of Italian women who have beautiful hair like that have a little bit longer and it looks so good on them. I'm so happy you're letting it grow

My husband is 80 and Price Bros beloved belonged to a great aunt. Also a Edinburgh crystal storm lamp. It is so difficult to get pieces value here in Africa .Thank you. Keep safe . You are too valuable to lose x

  3. I absolutely love your attitude and that Italian in your face responses. My dad was a 1st generation Italian American, his parents came from Italy through Ellis Island. The funny thing is that he was married 3 times, and my mom was straight up hillbilly Irish from West Virginia, but my twin sister and I were adopted when they were 49 and 50. We probably have more than enough of the Italian attitude, but technically we are Swedish, German, and Native American. What a mix eh? My dad even tried to arrange marriages for my sister and I to good Italian men, I guess that was a thing back when he was young. He was born in 1921, and my mom 1922, I was lucky enough to have my dad until he was 87, and he passed away peacefully at home with our family that he loved to be in the middle of the crazyness, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He lived long enough to see 5 grandchildren and another 4 great grandchildren. Unfortunately, my mom was diagnosed with dementia/alzheimers when we were in our early 20's, she was always kinda different and had crazy mood swings. I took care of her until I was about 33, but it was getting too dangerous to keep her at home, she would try to drink dish soap and eat things that she shouldn't, walking out of the house was a problem. I used to sleep in front of the bedroom door to make sure that she didn't walk away at night. She passed away 3 years before my dad. I'm almost 49 now and have no idea of where all the time went. Love your videos, Blessings! FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE!

  4. I have 2 blue vases with the bottom engraved with No 2/8. The N is sort of fancy. I can not find anything anywhere about this. The vases have pictures of camels on them and little tiny handles on the sides. Any help at all for me?

  5. You are right Dr. Lori, when I had to sell my family home to avoid foreclosure, the cons came out from the woodwork. I got robbed twice.

  6. Thanks so much for this. Been collecting porcelain pieces. Like you, I am after the piece' "dulce et utile" quality—its genuine art and use as well as the story behind its acquisition. ❤

  7. So Dr. Lori, I was curious, has this virus outbreak affected any of your programs? I have made a promise to myself to try to attend at least one of your shows this year.

  8. Dr Lori, You are AWESOME and REALLY fun to watch!!..I just found you and have been binge-watching the last two days. I have ALWAYS LOVED antiques from a young age. (64) I have learned SO much already. THANK YOU for doing these videos!!

  9. Hi Dr Lori. This is Sharon Rice with the horse and cart. I’ll need to talk with my tech savvy children in order to send a picture. Can’t find my old post or your reply 😏. Don’t give up on me😉

  10. My Dad flew in bombers over Germany during WWII. He was later stationed in Germany in the 1950's with the Air Force and I was born there, but we returned to the US six weeks later so I have no memory of the country. I recently found out the AFB I was born at was in Bavaria and I was surprised when I looked around my house to see how much pottery and porcelain I had collected over the years from Bavaria!

  11. Hi, Dr. Lori ! I just recently discovered your channel. Needless to say, I am learning something new from you every day. Like another person said, I'm looking forward to the thrift stores opening again! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Take care!

  12. Thank you to your audience member, Michelle, for mentioning how hard it is to tell the difference between the old stuff and the new. It seems like it gets harder as companies learn to put better quality back into the more modern pieces. And, there were so many great pointers in this video about deciphering quality: bone China Vs. porcelain, whiter clay being the better quality, marks on the bottom not always being an indication of value, etc. Great tutorial video.

  13. Our cats have destroyed a A lot of my Lladro pieces retired pieces I learn to Velcro them down if I want them and yes the cats are still here because they have life Lladro is a piece without life
