zombie mobs have a new animation for the death animation. this includes the grabbing of the head or the chest area. any player who is nearby will be alerted to the death of a zombie. no longer can you run away from a zombie and know that it will keep chasing you, no matter what you do. note that this does not work for zombies that are at least 16 blocks away from the player. (they can hear, but they cant see you) however, a zombie that is 2 blocks away will still attempt to chase the player, but this will stop at the 2-block line. (if the zombie is 3 blocks away then it will stop at the 3-block line, etc.)

this mod replaces the zombie entity in minecraft. unlike other mods which replace the skeleton entity, this mod replaces the zombie entity. the zombies are actually skeletons with a different look. there are various new textures, sounds, and melee animations for the zombies. there are also new animations for villagers and mobs, as well as new items, blocks, and misc items. you can also find zombies spawning all over the world, even on the surface. this mod also comes with an new ender dragon entity. this new creature can spawn only from the end caps.

the update brings zombies to world of valhelsia. while zombies in general do not get better with age, this pack goes out of its way to make them look their best. zombie villagers will now die of old age, and they will die if they do not receive food. this modpack also gives zombies a much more consistent look, which is essential for the modpack to work. additionally, zombies will have a higher chance to spawn in cold climates, and they can now be killed by other zombie villagers.
