I live in Hyderabad and monsieur Gautier is totally right about missionaries and the conversion programmes in south India. In Telangana VHP has resisted it but in Andhra and Tamil Nadu it is being aggressively carried out. Having said that, what Gautier has said about the Delhi bubble is equally true of the metros here where the press are based. The same bubble basically exists in Hyderabad and other cities. In fact, just to give you a sense of disproportion, the English and even parts of Telugu media here believe saffronisation is going on, in a replica of Delhi media. So let's not single out Delhi. It seems to be a metropolitan problem in general
