Roblox is an online game platform and game creation system developed by Roblox Corporation that allows users to program games and play games created by other users. Created by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel in 2004 and released in 2006, the platform hosts user-created games of multiple genres coded in the programming language Lua. In 2010, Roblox was officially a publicly traded company, listed as SPRO. Roblox is currently owned by Spooky Cool, Inc., a privately held company that owns 98% of the company’s shares. Roblox has since been sold to its current owner.
User Interface and Game Features
The central feature of the Roblox platform is its user interface. Roblox has two main sections: creation and play. In the creation section, users create their own games for others to play. Users can create games in any of the available genres, including adventure, action, adventure action, racing, sports, fighting, cooking, painting, drawing, and roleplaying.
Once users create a game, it is available for all users to play. Players can go into game lobbies, either in search of others to play with, or to chat with other players in a game. Games can be private or public, depending on the user’s settings. Players can also choose to open their games to other players for a limited time, allowing them to advertise their game for others to play.

An implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) is an indispensable treatment for patients with life-threatening ventricular tachyarrhythmia. In Japan, however, due to shortages in the number of devices and long waiting times of heart transplantation, patients with appropriate ICD shocks need to have their devices explanted while awaiting heart transplantation. The “never-event” in which a patient dies during ICD implantation is a serious issue. To prevent this, we decided to implant an ICD in the operating room (OR). We retrospectively evaluated the clinical outcomes of our patients who received an ICD in the OR, focusing on the complications that occurred in the OR. Seventy-five patients underwent ICD implantation in the OR. The median duration of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) was 104 min, and the median time from the cessation of CPB to implantation of the ICD was 71 min. There were 4 major complications in the OR: deep sternal wound infection in 1 patient; arrhythmic storm and cardiac arrest in 2 patients; and ventricular fibrillation in 1 patient. Three of 4 patients with a major complication had pre-existing pulmonary hypertension, and all 4 died of multiple organ failure despite receiving ICDs with additional defibrillation. We conclude that the OR is a promising place for implantable cardioverter defibrillator implantation. Because the medical status of a patient is complicated and rapid recovery in the OR might not be guaranteed, careful patient selection is necessary before choosing the OR as the place for implantation.And we’re off
