A big issue is cheap labor to all the companies in America. It is easier to have immigrants work because many don't get paid overtime, holiday, or complain. If immigrants take all the low wage jobs "no one wants" then where are all the Americans that decided continue college or drop out of high school work? Another truth is that many of these immigrants are exploited as indentured servants or slaves. The wall should have been put up long time ago so we can focus on tunnels, air smugglers, crooked border patrol, CIA smuggling and serious groups who use other ways to bring in criminals and people.
