Seriously curious about this one, have any of you used cannabis to boost athletic performance or for recovery? If so let me know in a comment, want to hear the good and the bad!!
I smoke weed/dab or dab pens before working out or performance. And I’ve noticed that I work harder and longer when high. I’ve been going to the gym consistently for a year and half now thanks to weed lol.
It’s true, I’ll workout and run and it feel like I can go forever or not feel the pain as much not high
I've done a lot of drugs and nothing is like runners high.
“I’m a rule follower”.. lol So many people out there, afraid to live there lives because they don’t want to break the rules. Even though some of these rules are absolutely ridiculous. Thank god we don’t leave real change up to people like this.
I smoked after every football practice and game sometimes before and I recently quit trying to make myself healthier and I can say I can’t exactly put a finger on it but I do feel performance is lower

Not a problem for me. There's nothing that isn't better when you're smoking. It's not for everyone. You'll know if it's for you. If it is, it's a performance enhancing drug, you'll recover quicker and it will get your head right during your runs/workout. I recommend dabs, because you only need a minute amount to get up. I'd recommend it for anyone that resonates with the green, it's the medication. 💯
*edit: smoke RIGHT BEFORE you start your run/workout. Have everything done, so all you have to do is blow out your hit, and start. Otherwise, if you still have shit to do to get ready, you'll never start. It's not "I'll smoke an hr before" that has never successfully worked for me. I end up not finishing and getting into workout vids or some other rabbit hole, and realize 2 hours passed and I haven't even lifted a set yet lol
When people say they don't like being high for reasons like you stated (paranoid, over eating) it's because you're too high for your comfort level. Try a lower dose, of a nice sativa strain. The mental state it provides is beautiful
Canadian universities do 60m and 300m sprints… My seasonal bests drinking about 10 drinks per week: 7.58 & 38.48 SBs smoking cannabis every evening: 7.50 & 37.82 SBs neither smoking nor drinking: 7.50 & 37.92 Everyone is different, that's just how my body reacts to drugs! (Yes, I did just make the same comment on your alcohol video 😛 )

Hi Nick, After a long run it takes my body a very long time to recover. What would you recommend people do for a quicker recovery ? And how long should you ideally rest between runs ?
When I dry fast I’ll run 10 to 15 miles in one day for back to back days while working 7 to 9 hours in the sun before eating or drinking ANYTHING and I’ll eat and drink at night. No animals. Sometimes I wouldn’t even eat. I’ll just drink. I was smoking weed in order to keep my energy up through the day when I was not eating or drinking.

I lost 70 lbs and vaped a little cannabis oil before 90% of the times I did cardio and 60% of the time I lifted.
For me doesn't effect my performance. I've made my self a lab rat multiple times. In sum cases I've actually done way better tbh. Just me personally

I have been a weed smoker for many years, my personal opinion is it depends on the strain, indica being a more relaxing strain then a sativa, I quit weed about 4 months ago completely and i find that i workout a lot more often and my diet is far better now I don’t get the munchies as I would tend to have that fuck it attitude and eat crap because I couldn’t be bothered to cook a decent meal, so I guess it depends on usage, I can image that a nice sativa would help when exercising to add focus and a mind body connection but the truth is if your high to often it can kill your enthusiasm and can have negative effects.

I train 11 hours a day. Wouldn’t be possible without weed for me personally.
I only smoke weed and excersise because my muscles don’t fatigue as fast and I could workout more

I smoked for years and I maxed a 550 squat, 365 bench and 225×20 reps… stopped smoking and ever since I haven’t hit anywhere near those pr’s. Oh also I had a very big vertical at 235 lbs. 6’2 and could elbow the rim.
All my mates smoke weed i have had it but I don’t like the feeling it makes you to chilled like way to chill n u get depression n paranoid

Short answer: its trash. Its a disadvantage it just don't work. LSD is the way to truly go

Running high kinda sucks if its hot in my opinion but lifting high is great. I'm a decently strong runner my bench max is 225 and I weigh 133 and weed has made my lifts even better than preworkouts. It's stupid thats its banned honestly. If a bunch of productive people smoke wtf is the problem

Smoking doesn’t make me wanna run but I decided to go back to school and worked on my Ph D and I smoked and this helped me tremendously
