Surprise Surprise: Olympic MARATHON Trials Atlanta 2020!!!
It’s about to go down, the US Marathon Olympic Trials 2020 in Atlanta Georgia! I’ll see you in the streets of Atlanta, ready to film the “Super Bowl” of American …
Track and field should wake up … this YouTube stuff is a modern day grassroots effort to grow the sport… Between SJD, Kofuzi, Sage, and so many others runners are improving and the sport is getting more and more organized at the non-elite level… it’s becoming more accessible to everyday folks… they need to keep the number of everyday runners in mind or they’ll end up like the automobile racing giant …. wondering where everyone is…
In France, to qualify for Tokyo 2020, you'll have to run an official marathon in sub 2h11min30sec, during the year before the Olympic event. So did 4 french marathon runners.
Baby Henry! So exciting! QD:I live near ATL, I can help. I have a Cannon 70D and a T1i same telephoto lens and an extender plus my iPhone xs and the first series GoPro. You can look at my channel if you want an idea of my production style and experience. Let me know :0)
In the Netherlands you have to run under 2.11.30 in that year and there is a limit on how many people can participate if this is reached only the fastest people will go. But there are exceptions to be made due to a busy racing schedule or not a good race to athletes who have proven themselfs already before
This is so exciting!!! I can't wait to see your footage. They should have given you a Media Pass. I wish I could be there to meet you IRL.
Hi Seth!! Nate here. We will be in Atlanta too. Maybe we can bump 🎥 while there 🔥🔥
I'll be in Atlanta to witness the Trials and I'll be running the Publix Atlanta Half the next day. I'll be filming with my camera and my smartphone. I'd be willing to film!
I booked a business trip around this race. I only have a phone camera but ill send you all the pics and vids i take. Ill try to steal my wifes cannon camera if possible. Ill try to meet you at the start.
Here in Ireland, you just sign up for marathons and that’s it. Pay the fee, train, and go. There is one exception: Dublin City Marathon. This year they’ve introduced a lottery process with three additional waves after the first wave of selections. Nobody likes it but I can’t complain as I managed to get my spot in the first round and this will be my very first marathon EVER 😬🤗😰
Thanks Seth for your efforts. Great channel.
Being a Canadian, I enjoy watching the US Olympic Marathon trial. Enjoy your time. Looking forward to seeing behind the scenes 😉
I’ll be there volunteering an an elite aide station. I will try to capture some video via GoPro Hero 7. Hope to see you out there!
See you in ATL Seth!!!!
Qualifying in Canada is though! (Maybe not as tough as making the Ethiopian or Kenyan team but still.) It’s true for all sports: 1. You need to meet the A Standard. 2. You need to prove that you have a chance to *medal*: that means finishing in the top 8 (finalist) at the world championships or in a time that is more stringent. For the marathon, in 2016, women had to run 2:29 (Canadian record at the time was 2:28) and the men 2:12. (For the first time in 2020, there was a trial in the marathon but they’ll still have to make the Canadian standard.) Most Olympic years there will be one athlete sent or none at all.
I’ll be in the race, but I’ll give you a wave. I enjoy your content.
I love your content so much and it makes my day. I love your positivity👍 keep it up
My wife and I be in ATL to watch the trials! We have a good friend who qualified for the women’s race. We’re also going to run in the 5K the next morning. It should be a great weekend!
can’t wait to watch!
Looking forward to your coverage more than the official NBC broadcast – really interested on your perspective and the tech/gear scoops.
I would love to film that race too. just don't have the funds to do so but I'll be living vicariously through you. Have fun
