  1. Hi, thank you very much . I am very very
new in gardening . I planted my ginger plant about 3 month ago . It was doing well , but now it is not feeling well. leaves started to yellow and dry out on tips and edges. Even ones that are new and not unrolled yet are yellowing . Please advise

  2. Do you buy ginger from the grocery in the off-season to supplement? Do you pickle them or preserve them somehow? Grow a few in doors?
I'm literally just now starting my first garden and hope to be self-sufficient in the years to come!

  3. I liked the video but to see you bury a piece not much smaller than what you end up with just does not seem worth that much effort to me. I was expecting long fat pieces to grow. However the video was great and very informative. Thank you for sharing it.

  4. I like the videos you make and specially the light musical effect in the background. And of course all the information you provide. I'm gonna try growing ginger this way and hope it grows well.

  5. i would suggest that ginger "typically" does not like full sun. most plants in the ginger family are understory plants and prefer filtered light. i have been growing ginger now for about 5 years in New Orleans (zone 9B) and the direct summer sun in mid summer will overly stress the plants. especially in pots because the soil gets too hot. for the last few years i have been growing my ginger in the ground in almost full shade. turmeric seems to like more sun and will take direct sun, but requires the ground to stay cool either with mulch or be in a dense planting where no sunlight light hits the ground.
