I’ll have to edit it a bit later on and fix the fonts and stuff, but for now it’s coming along really well. I have it setup to take only 29 characters on SGI so it’s easy to type in, so I think I’ll only type in the main character and the surrounding area. I’ll then fill the rest in later. I think you’ll enjoy this, as it’s really cute.
The gist of it is that the font’s texture, and in a separate file, the characters themselves, are animated based on mouse motion so you can understand each letter as it’s typed in real-time. I’m seeing this for the first time, and it’s really a neat idea. Seeing the characters gradually morph in real time as you move the mouse is a pretty cool thing. I hope you like it.
