When the special attack or spell is used, it stays on the field for a limited amount of time, meaning that players can use it more than once. Players can learn these special cards by opening them from the card deck when they attack opponents or by finding them scattered around the map, although they will eventually be removed from the deck if they are not used (for example, the special card “Fire on All Fronts” is only available for 8 hours after it is used).
Interestingly, special cards function during the single player mode, meaning that players can control a monster through the use of the card deck. This enables certain very advanced playing methods, such as creating a card that becomes stronger the more enemies are attacked (and acts as a damage buffer).
