Pot Industry Debacle – Blockchain vs Fiat Currency

Too much weed: Canadian cannabis producers are sitting on a mountain of inventory ‘I suspect it’ll be a race to the bottom with price because everyone now has …

  1. Brian – This block chain currency system would be the next step towards a fully electronic currency system. Fully electronic means totally monitored and maintained as a "Permanent Record".  If the encryption could be trusted then I would trust it but I cannot be confident that there is not an agenda behind the block chain technology. Governments could so easily have far greater control over our personal economics if this was the main economic system.  I would suggest that you look at Joe Rogan Experience # 1369 where he does an amazing interview with Edward Snowden. Then get "Permanent Record" the book that Edward Snowden released this past fall.  This will make you realize the potency of government powers to use electronics and internet etc against populations. Not sure if this next step is avoidable (ie the advancing electronic and internet economies and communities which , by the way, will be unified on a global scale eventually) but I think it facilitates a population control system like nothing we have seen in human history.

  2. Good to hear you agree with me on the pot legislation…he never wanted to legalize just control the market. Poor investors they'll have no chance with the way it's set up.

  3. Brian, re: sale of legal Cannabis. One reason is simply the price. I have a genetic illness that at times is quite disabling, and quite painful. In Alberta before the NDP, there was a low-key program whereby medical patients could either grown their own, or purchase "reasonable amounts" (up to about 16 oz per quarter) for relieving pain, nausea caused by Chemotherapy, and many other things. It perked away quite nicely under the radar until the NDP became the Provincial government. As soon as that happened, all medical institutions or clinics that received any Provincial funding were made the subject of a blanket prohibition whereby doctors in those facilities were not even supposed to mention cannabis to their patients, let alone prescribe it. (The Conspiracy of Physicians and Surgeons just rolled over – shame on them). Some specific strains of Cannabis was suggested to me as something to try in 2014, but I was not able to give it a serious trial, for one reason: cost.

Prior to the NDP, a great many physicians, both GP's and specialists, had been able to write a cannabis prescription for a patient, which the patient could then used to either set up a home grow-op, or purchase cannabis for their own use. (The 'where from' was vague – I suspect on purpose). Many who were able grew their own, simply because "legal purchase' prices became extortionate. The only reason for buying from "legal suppliers" was that they grew strains of cannabis that were particularly medically useful. Those strains had different proportions of various chemical components which made them more useful for specific purposes. Prices averaged $17-$25 for 1/8 oz. packets. If "buying in bulk" there might be a slight discount, like 1/2 oz for $150 inclusing postage. Shipping any quantity was done via XPressPost, at $25/shipment. Normally, all prices were exclusive of shipping, So buying samples of 3 or 4 different strains, for "testing", could easily cost more than $150 even for small quantities.

As of this past "Black Friday Weekend" many of the same businesses, most in the Vancouver area, were still selling all available strains of weed for a minimum of $15 per 1/8 oz. It does not take very many orders at those prices to make up the cost of all the equipment needed for a home grow-up.

And, the local "bootleggers" charge a fraction of that price, and still have a large and loyal customer base. There's one in my neighborhood – everyone knows who and where, and because it's a relatively low-profile, low-key operation, he's just kept on doing what he's done for the last 12 years or so. It's really a perfect example of free enterprise. Has he gone to the trouble of getting a Federal license? Probably not. Is he a problem for the neighborhood or law enforcement? No – he's an "independent" and has no gang connections. I think he got started because his wife had cancer, and just carried on from there. His only real competition are regular consumers who are now setting up their own basement grow-ops with 3 or 4 plants – enough to supply their own needs.

  4. Brian, You mentioned dear leader always having his shirt sleeves rolled up – his tie ( iF he is wearing one ) is always undone just like he is really working – why does he do that? That's easy – I saw this almost right away and it pisses me off because what he is doing is mimicking his mentor the magic negro – the great imposter – obummer. Think about it – when the con artist imposter would be talking at a somewhat informal meeting – short sleeves rolled up – tie off or discarded – always. I always found that to be disrespectful to the office that he held, just as I do our very own gummy-fruit groper. Maybe I am wrong – please feel free to correct me if you think I am. fruity idiot see – fruity idiot do.. I've yet to see President Trump appear half dresses like that. Just sayin'.

  5. Myself and many of my neighbours grew enough cannabis this season that we have no need to buy from the mafia of government, or Mike at 24 Libtard Way. Btw, I voted for Jester the Molester because I wanted electoral reform, not for cannabis.

  6. The crime minister sure has a reputation, Joker, Toker Groper, Blackface, Jihadhi, peoplekind, potato🥔😜🧟‍♂️🤡. Where on his resume that says he’s qualified to be a leader, and they say the globalist don’t exist. They selected him to be leader, no outside interference in politics, yea, Right. Canada will cease to exist if it stays one it’s present course. 🤮

  7. I agree. The banks are corrupt warmongers in my opinion. But still scared to put the little money I have into bitcoin or as you call it block chain. I definately think we need to learn how to screw the banks but even the lowest paying jobs want your accnt info to pay you. I can't believe we are not permitted to ask for a cheque and have a choice. Unfair game that you cannot win.

  8. Only government could lose over 200M selling pot. Culture and existing dispensaries were taken down like something from the Soprano's.
Never been enough supply and 'oh the cost' of 'legal' cannabis!! Inferior product, no supply, and high prices means Black Market has and will continue to thrive. It could have been so simple to license these illegal 'pot shops' from the get go instead of spending millions shutting them down. Leaving out edibles initially was a big mistake. I would never support corporate weed.

  9. I can't get over the pure sham that trudy is pulling off by sending 7 billion dollars of our hard earned tax dollars to Africa for "womens healthcare aka abortions", half ar muslim(so no abortions) and supposedly the other half are Christians(so no abortions), and so add to that the fact that everything going over there is getting stolen by bokoharem or corrupt government and the UN is raping more women than anybody…wth!?!?

  10. Just like the governments bright idea to get rid of the penny, now ever time I go shopping the corporations are stealing from me and enriching themselves even further penny by penny thanks to to the Libtards. The failed pot sector, LOL! Let's legalize something that's been engraved in Canadian culture since before I got here 1974, what a joke. And the attempt to ban FA's that have been the cornerstone and building blocks of this country will follow suit, the real people of Canada will not allow such a heinous act on the culture, history, and peoples rights. Go eradicate crime/gangs, not freedoms/democracy.
