  1. Harlem is getting hit crazy with Gentrification…

I've been to Philly, Atlanta, & D.C…. D.C is super gentrified as well doesn't even feel like Chocolate city anymore… Philly is starting to get hit heavy with gentrification… So is Atlanta, in a few years the real natives of Atlanta & Philly are going to be pushed out smh…

Boston, NYC, San Francisco'/The Bay Area, LA, D.C, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Detroit all cities Nation wide are being affected, NYC, San Francisco, LA & Boston were just the first to get hit.

  2. Those median income guideline for these housing lotteries need a massive overhaul. If areas are gentrifying, the median income is going up but the actual people from the area still have the same level of income.

  3. To make that work you need a complete and comprehensive ecosystem of change. It can’t just be limited to more affordable housing. We need education reform, police reform, and better access to quality healthcare. Get those in order and people will be less frightened by affordable housing in their neighborhood.

  4. There were black owners, but they sold to ppl outside of the neighborhood for cheap..Most, lack foresight..They'll allow ppl from other groups make to commerce that they don't benefit from. Like the same space that was your grandmother's community center, you allowed outsiders to turn it into a 24 hour business..

  5. These politicians all about the money. The churches as well. At the end of the day, the developers or city have no interest in affordable housing. That’s the issue! Looking at this man is turning my stomach🤢 I’m so happy I left NYC.. visit but will never move back!

  6. Gentrification means black and poor people will be living in South Africa like townships sundown towns. Urban no longer is a code word for black People. If All the Black History And Knowledge that came through Harlem, how did it come to this?
If gentrification taking Over Harlem, the rest of Urban Black communities HAVE NO CHANCE.

  7. Man these krackers ain't letting us come in and change policy. Its Its their policy 😂😂 thats how they want it. Yall can talk till u blue in the face. It ain't happening till we go to war with the government. Dummies. So keep dancing and bragging like ya been doing

  8. none of these ppl live in NYC tho, and I see these ppl are not from the hood. my guy they sold drugs right outside my building and had murders right there. I and I'm good, built character, made me who I am today.
