One of my closest friends almost lost her life to her husband. When a relationship gets violent, it almost NEVER gets better. Her ex is serving 40yrs for bashing her face in front of thier 4 kids. She had to stay in hiding for 2 years. One assault is one too many. Never be ashamed for walking away from someone who says they love you, but thier actions don't match the words or apologies.
