  1. In my opinion; building that judgement of yourself as a doctor can be crucial, it's that judgement call that a doctor has to make based on the inputs he's given about a certain condition of a patient, and it takes lots of practice and years of experience, a big thank you to all the doctors around the world working their butts off during these hard times!

  2. I try to remember that drs get super stressed but sometimes they just get psycho. I had a dermatologist I was assisting in a procedure drop the pickups in the sharps box because I brought her the wrong ones. She also would purposely drop suture material if she wanted a different kind.

  3. Sooo, we're just gonna skip that "pee and poop during labor" bit here, too?
This makes me so mad, because a lot of women are not told this before giving birth. And/Or they are afraid/ ashamed to ask.
This creates unnecessary stress in an already very stressful situation. Women that know before can deal with this much better. It's perfectly normal and no reason to feel ashamed.

  4. Dr mike, how did you do back in college if you took biochemistry? Did you ever have any application for enzyme kinetics in your practice?
    Sincerely, a frustrated undergraduate 🤔😂

  5. I dont know for the US but in canada. Someone HIV positive that either neglect to inform or purposely try to infect someone else, is charged with attempt of murder.

  6. Interns are so cute, they call themselves the family to notify them about their relative's passing.. while actual doctors simply make sure the nurse has already called the family 🤷🏻‍♀️

  7. They didn't teach them in medical school that ribs crack during CPR? They taught me that during my free CPR class. Maybe the med student should've taken that class.

  8. I'm Direct Care Staff at a non profit that houses intellectually disabled adults. We care for individuals with all kinds of disabilities and ailments, I could definitely answer any questions you or anyone else may have.

  9. I remember Doc Mike's videos from over a year ago and dismissing them as a "pretty-boy-doc" looking for fame. A friend had recently sent me one of his videos and I reluctantly watched it just to realize that I have misjudged him; Doc Mike does such a service to mend the distrust between the public and medical professionals.

  10. Hi ! Right now i'm a senior but i hope to get in nurse school next year. This scares and stresses me but i know you can never know and be fully prepared for what will happen in this field. But I'm determined and i just hope i will do a good job 😉

  11. Has anyone ever read the side effects of oral birth control? I read mine last night and I'm not sure how anyone can give this stuff out in good conscience. XD

  12. Doctors need to be trained in communicating with autistic patients (and not only obviously autistic boys) I am a 17 year old female and have many friends my age that are on the spectrum. As young kids we had our parents with us who know our language, verbal and non verbal, to help communicate and fill in blank spaces where we might have missed something. We're now starting to go to appointments alone and this can cause some issues. It can be really hard to know what information is and isn't relevant when giving history or desctibing symptoms. I find myself overexplaining certain details to the point of obvious irritation from the physician, or me not mentioning something that they think should've been obviously important.
I hadn't realised how big of a problem this could be until i found myself at a psyciatric ER with my girlfriend at the time (18yo female) and had to fill in a lot of very important information that the nurses didn't ask for but that could've been important in further care and medication.
