  1. Here's a great post, from another site discussing this brilliant film:
Rai: "Ultron: Captain America…pretending you could live without a war.
Captain Steve Rogers in Endgame: Outsmarts hydra agents to avoid conflict. Returns back to Peggy and passes the torch to Sam to live a peaceful and happy life.
Eat that Ultron! Also this is the first time I saw someone proving Ultron wrong."

I like how Thanos’s gigantic army patiently waited while the good guys made their long, drawn out, glorious entrance. 😆

It’s like they wanted to watch it too. 😆

  4. Since Scorsese dissed Marvel let's discuss Irishmen vs. Endgame. 😎
Irishmen is an excellent film, but EndGame is even better. It's a more original film as narrative experiment, and deals with deeper themes. It has richer character development and is surprising and unpredictable, far funnier, and more fun. Does anyone seriously think that if you had an audience set thru 3 1/2 hours of Irishmen, that there would be anywhere near as much laughter or tears. Which film would be filled with people getting up to go to the rest room – because they know they aren't gong to miss much?

The typical person knee jerk agreeing with Scorsese – probably can't even explain or understand the themes related for the characters like Steve Rogers, or Thor, or Banner or Thanos, or Nebula, or Black Widow.

Here's the plot of irishmen – Old hit man claims to have killed Hoffa, looks back in regret and bitterness at his useless life of violence. THE END.

Note – not dissing Irishmen at all. I'm just flat out saying I've seen both films and Irishmen is not better than EndGame – anymore than Ordinary People was better than Raging Bull. Feel free to disagree but be prepared to think for yourself and not just ditto grandpa grumpy.

  5. The Infinity Gauntlet's main function is to protect the bearer from the stones. The Collector notes in Guardians of the Galaxy, that in ancient times powerful Celestials gathered together – each controlling one stone, in an effort to combine their powers – but were quickly destroyed. Even with the Infinity Gauntlet every snap permanently damages or destroys the Gauntlet Bearer and permanently damages or destroys the Gauntlet itself.

Etri's Gauntlet appears to be strong enough to withstand multiple uses of individual stones, as long as the stone bearer makes a fist – which enables use of a stone and protects the stone bearer.
Etri's Gauntlet also responds to Thanos will and is meant only for Thanos.

The Stark Gauntlet – which is actually built by the 3 geniuses Stark and Banner and Rocket, is based on nano tech, and can replicate, resize, and reabsorb the stones. This technique [the Stark maneuver] is what Iron Man uses to take the stones back from Thanos at the end of the film.

Thematically – this idea is the result of 5 years of Stark agonizing over the failure to take the stones from Thanos in Infinity War.

  6. 2:01:25

When Professor Hulk snaps with the gauntlet his arm is permanently damaged. Like everything else interesting that happens to him – his ‘fans’ have a hard time accepting it. There are inside narrative and outside narrative reasons why this happens.

Inside Narrative: Hulk has a healing factor. Healing is using energy to repair matter over time. The power stone gives you infinite power over matter and energy – so therefore infinite healing. Yet Thanos is damaged from his snap and at the end of Infinity War we see that he still retains the damage to his arm and left side. The damage is permanent for Thanos, to Hulk, and of course to Tony Stark. Why? Because damage is done with all the Infinity Stones is literally eternal. Damage is not done in the past, such that it can be repaired in the present and fully healed in the future. Damage is done in the ‘forever’. In the past present and future. No matter how hard you try to heal damage with the power stone – > it is instantly redone by the time stone. Your body is damaged (power stone), throughout all time and all reality.

Outside Narrative: Banner can’t rely on Hulk’s temper tantrum related powers – he has to find a way to help himself using his intellect.

As Thor Ragnorok acknowledged, the dirty little secret of some Hulk fans – is that they side with “hulk” and hate puny Banner.

But Hulk’s character growth has taken this story someplace that they don’t want to go. A place where Banner is as powerful as Hulk, and where Banner and Hulk both admit they need each other.

The conflict between the story creators and some Hulk fans itself is interesting.

Hulk Smash fans: If rage monster tantrums are not enough – then the character is destroyed.

Professor Hulk creators: That’s been done to death – if the character can’t change – then he’s already dead , we have given him new life.

    Watch this space……

  7. 2:13:30 Cap wields Thor’s Hammer.
    1) Odin (Ragnorok): “Are you Thor, the God of Hammers? Hmm? That hammer was to help you control your power,to focus it. It was never your source of strength.”
    2) Odin (from Thor): "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."

Apparently there is some confusion – either due to not remembering what Odin said, or not understanding it.

The 1st statement affirms that Thor’s power comes from within – this is why he was given the hammer.

The enchantment was put on the hammer AFTER Odin deemed Thor unworthy. The point of the whole story – LOST – apparently on some (?) Is that Thor is not entitled to rule Asgard because it is his birthright.

His worthiness instead must come from within. What Odin does is strip thor of his power, and his ability to wield the hammer. Instead Odin places the power of Thor in whoever IS WORTHY to wield the hammer.

Somehow some viewers get this so twisted that they read it as – if you are worthy – then you should be able to lift the hammer, but not wield the lightening…. 😂

So they think it’s some sort of contradiction to have Cap wield the lightening, when that is clearly the logical implication of what Odin did, and why he did it.

Cap gains the power of Thor because he is deemed worthy. That includes the lightening, the power of the hammer to heal, etc.

I mean Odin’s Beard (!) 😊 , if you can’t follow Odin in a Thor comic, heaven help you when faced with something like McBeth or King Lear. 😂
