The MAPISend application was designed to be a small command line utility to send messages (and attachments) via any MAPI compliant email system (such as Pegasus Mail). You can use it in batch files or macros/modules in other programs to automate emailing documents.

Unzip the files to any folder of your choice. For example, place the a small batch file in your Program menu folder to run MAPISend. For example:

Copy the MAPISend.cmd file into the Windows\System\RUN\\ folder. This will ensure MAPISend runs at startup.
The number of Outlook mailboxes to be searched is set in the MAPISend.ini (or MAPISend.ini.old) file. The default is 1 (or 5 if you have 5 or more mailboxes in Outlook). If you have more mailboxes, you’ll need to set the path to each Inbox. See the MAPISend.ini file for more details.
If you do not have Outlook installed, you’ll need to set the path to your email system in the MAPISend.ini file. See the MAPISend.ini file for more details.

– Open MAPISend.ini and set the path and name of Inbox and Sent (if these are not the same mailbox).

– Open MAPISend.cmd and set the path to the email that you want to send, and the path and name to the Inbox where the original email to be sent is.
– Press F5 or “Start” and you’re all done!

It will only work if your email system supports MAPI IMAP and can log in to a Microsoft Exchange Server or a Microsoft Exchange Server compatible email server. If you run MAPISend on the local host, it will use “Microsoft Exchange server” as the configuration automatically.
