I'm fully in agreement with legalisation of everything, to reduce crime. However, I'm fundamentally against drug use unless it's for medical reasons. These are powerful drugs, which affect the mind and other parts of the body. For example, smoking marijuana is more likely to cause lung cancer and COPD than smoking cigarettes.
I don't understand why you wouldn't regulate an industry which produces a product to be consumed by the public, especially when that product can cause so much harm. Just look at what happened with vaping addiction in teenagers when that industry wasn't regulated and you will realise how bad it can get and how fast. In addition, without regulation then the consumer doesn't know what they are getting, whether it's mixed with anything or whether it's safe. Consumer rights are important.
One of the fundamentals of Lifestyle Medicine is reducing usage of harmful substances, like cigarettes and drugs because they really impact people in so many negative ways. Cigarettes come with a health warning, so should marijuana.
