We need to achieve herd immunity. The longer people are isolated from one another, the effects of the virus are going to increase. In particular, next winter. Keep those who are sick, vulnerable, or with pre-existing medical conditions isolated, as they're the ones mostly effected…Those who are healthy should carry on. One cant just stop and hide from a virus. We need to get our economy going again, the result from shutting down is far worse than the virus itself…

As testing becomes more available, our numbers will spike as the other states have shown. The numbers do not justify a continuance of a closed economy. We need to open back up, maybe gradually but move forward now! Many Mainers do not have any kind of savings let alone "dwiddling". A lot of us live "paycheck to paycheck" our hands are slipping on that "knot". Please Reopen Maine!
