The District Attorney mentioned that law enforcement believes that marijuana has aspects of "criminality" associated with it. Well yeah, it obviously does, it's illegal and the only way to remove that criminality is to legalize it. DUH!
It's great seeing this discussion. It's sad that the Texas Legislature still doesn't reflect the views of the majority of it's citizens, which is that Texas should stop wasting tax-payer money putting marijuana consumers through the court system, and in many cases then sending them on to prison and hurting their future prospects of getting a decent job now that they have a "criminal" record.
