  1. I wonder why in the book it’s a she/her pronoun? I was told when writing to an unknown audience that you should refer to them as “they” or “their” or individually as “you” or “one should…” among others. Is it sort of based around a girl character used as an example throughout the book?

  2. I love these podcasts. The inspiration and appreciation felt is hard to quantify and put into words. Thank you for your continued service.

  3. I greatly appreciate the sacrifice and dedication these individuals have made for the sake of the United States. No, there is no way to repay them, as they love this said sacrifice. But I want you all to know, you are appreciated.
    God Bless

  4. The only way to improve low cognitive ability leaders is with a chip implant, and you will have to dart them, tie them up and after the procedure release them back into the wild. Sorry Jocko some people are just dumb.

  5. The Patterson law, promote to incompetence. People are promoted into jobs because they do good a great job along the way until they get a job they are not capable of being good at. Promoted to incompetence.

  6. There’s a few other SOG members still around, hope Jocko can get them on the podcast if they’re willing to talk about SOG.

  7. The smartest person I ever met was in college man was off the charts smart his ability to do so little and always get by was awe inspiring he eventually found a job that paid well not excessive but well and he worked about 20 hours a week to him that was successful

  8. Along with “humility,” one also needs what my former college football(🏈) coach referred to as “quiet confidence” to know one’s strengths, weaknesses & limitations and be secure enough in both themself(MOST critical) and their organizational/Team position, be it a special ops Team position, a sports team captain or a corporate CEO, to realize that no one individual will possess EVERY skill/trait necessary, yet strive to turn that weakness or absence of that trait into a strength by, one, working on that particular trait/skill to improve oneself, and secondly, by surrounding themself with someone possessing this/these skill(s)/trait(s).

    Superb vids👌🏼!!!

    Continued Success👊

  9. Jockos eating this stuff up,like he's listening to Thor himself. The man is impressive,Hackworth and this man could've put an end to that mess in nam lickity split.

  10. It’s true you are a professional… unfortunately some left wing radical politicians would say our military is uneducated and low class .. FU you rat bastards 🤬

  11. These SOG guys' stories (as well as the SEAL team guys from that era respectively) are among some of the best war/history/leadership podcasts I've ever listen to. After listening to the John Stryker Myers episodes I crushed 3 SOG books in a week ….phenomenal phenomenal stuff. These guys are some hardcore men

  12. Renaming is a metaphysical (Christians be like; spiritual) act of taking ownership. When Yah calls a man to follow him, He renames him; Yacov to Yahsharel (Jacob to Israel) Abram to Abraham.

  13. Thank you Jocko! This bloke is the real deal! Absolutely blew my mind! Wow! Just WOW. Changed my whole outlook on life!

  14. When they were talking about low cognitive ability people, was I the only one feeling like they were describing myself?

  15. Chapeau (hats off) to doctor Thompson. And to Don Jocko and his sidekick – the sweet and softer Eco Charles. Your podcast is a life saver to this retired police officer, a good daily obsession.

  16. Lots(if not all) of these techniques for problem solving/decision making come from the occulted Trivium method— "grammar, logic, rhetoric".
If you can get that down, there is nothing you can not learn.
Richard Grove of Tragedyandhope (dot) com has put a lot of effort into un-occulting the method.
