Do you do a pork roast similar to this?
Has anyone ever tried this using a bottom roast? My husband accidentally bought the wrong cut
that bag of gravy ruined it for me lol

I Plan to make this tonight.. I have a 2 lb chuck roast and will have to half all spices and liquid because I have a 3 qt mine duo instant pot. Any sugestions?
This tastes good, but there are a few misleading things in this video. 1st: Gravy mix is a Must, not optional. As flour in the mix is needed to make the sauce. Cornstarch alone will make a gel type sauce.
2nd: you got to skim the fat before thickening the sauce.
Also, the veggies, should be cooked half-way through the time, directly in the pot, or else you'll get sweet bland vegetables.

I have the IP-LUX model which doesn’t have a “pressure cook” button. Which button should I use instead?
this looks like the driest pot roast i have ever seen.but thats what you get with using a rump roast and not a chuck steak(pot roast).had no fat in the middle of the roast and no marbling in it. plus i cook my potatoes and carrots in with the juices the whole time….lol…otherwise fine.

Jeff. I just made the Instapot roast. OMG! So good. I used top sirloin. And a Merlot. Love your channel. 1 request. Do something like Dr. Pepper ribs.
sooo good. If you have a crockpot express you can do this too it turns out the same. I also added more carrots and potatoes and they cooked perfectly still. I also just chopped russet potatoes instead of the new potatoes because they’re cheaper. So yummy!

Hey I got an instant pot for Christmas and made your pot roast recipe but without the wine, man it was so good ! I used an Angus chuck roast that me almost melted in our mouth it was so tender! did you really pay $6 a kilo for that stewing steak, even two years ago. That is twice as expensive as in the UK in 2019 (before Brexit). Great delivery otherwise, except abbreviate to Wo'ste're sauce

I used a 3lb chuck roast and followed the recipe as given. The sauce and vegetables were good but the roast was still tough and required much more time in a pan on the stove before it was tender. Maybe a rump roast would have worked in the time given but if I make this again with a chuck I'd add another 20 minutes minimum to the cooking time.
Just finished eating!!! AMAZING!! We got the IP for Xmas! Made this recipe first! Funny, I was making the same noises you were when trying it for the first time. Haha. Thanks so much!
