How would you suggest putting in something like a twist tie or pipe cleaner on top to form it around the nose ?

I used this pattern and added two darts at the top on each side of the nose to close that gap that fogs up your glasses. It worked really well to bring it to the face with no gap.

Is the finished mask 9 inches across or face or 7 inches across your face?
Wow thanks… I don't know how to sew, but I did get one off etsy. I know that these masks off of Etsy are able to go over the Fabric masks. That is why I bought one. If you have a paper mask. You can add these to it for extra protection and they can be washed. Maybe that helps people. I got one and they are fabulous quality!
