  2. What cut is this called in Australia? I can not find it in woolies?

Also Todd if you can — when doing a slow cooker receipe could you mention how to do it on pressure cook too? I am so tempted to buy one of these Phillips cookers.

Thanks for the code for the knives. $50 off sounds amazing. Sadly I can not afford the difference

  3. I enjoy cheap cuts of beef because they usually do have more flavour in them. I usually use a can of chopped tomatoes as my tenderizer but that BBQ sauce you made to cook the brisket in looked good and yummy. Where I live there are no shops that sell brisket very often and no butcher shops at all so it isn't easy to come by, although I am in what is referred to as Alberta Beef country. Yeah, odd. But it's small towns all around and the big beef producers don't sell locally very often.

Had a look for those knives at Amazon Canada and then at the Kamikoto company page to check prices and value for money. The knives are, typically, very expensive for the average home cook ($400 on amazon.ca for that single chef knife, for instance). I wouldn't buy direct from the company because their return policy isn't good… you can return within 14 days [with their pre-approval] but you can't have used the knives at all… so how do you know if they're wrong for you? At least with Amazon you can return things without that b.s.

  4. Ok Todd, this looked delicious, but,,, I am still waiting for the invites for us to come and sample some of those darn delicious looking Christmas desserts you made for Christmas…
