Thanks for such valuable info. I just did one raised garden bed and was going to try to get another one but this idea is amazing. I am new at this and don’t understand why put worms in totes. Also how to keep ants and other bugs out of it. Is it wise to be veggie beds on patio or shaded area outside

Great Video !! I'm Convinced I Can Start A Garden Of Vegetables Now !! Especially Since I Have Back Problems And Cannot Stoop Over Too Long . Just On Yesterday I Needed Some Containers. My Son Purchased Them At Family Dollar. They Were Medium Sizes , And Smaller Than The Sterelite Container You Just Showed. I Asked Him How Much They Were And He Stated 12.98 each. I Had A Heart Attack !! Lord !! They Were Just Plastic Cheap Containers. Anyway It's For Storing Rice , Beans , Etc..In Kitchen And More. I've Always Wanted A Garden , But , After Many Years Since Childhood We Have A Pet Cemetary In The Backyard .( 🤔😥) Where I Would Have Liked Started A Garden The Pets Have Taken That Space. So , I'm Happy To Have Run Across Your Channel . I'm Following You For More Great Tips On Starting My Own Garden. Thank You !! Be Safe During The Coronavirus Outbreak !!

Wow those are the pots that I need for my grapevines and other fruit trees growing in not so big containers but bearing fruits too. Oh I thought I can't use the shredded paper here. Thank for all these tips.

thanks for the great ideas on worms and composting etc. i have tried this method with 5 gal white buckets only to have them start falling apart and cracking after 1-2 years. do these last longer ? i really don't like small bits of plastic all in the yard.

As much as I miss the year round climate in Oakland and Alameda, Hayward and so on… This is the best video that I've seen that I know will work here in Oklahoma.
After learning to compost there in Berekeley, I'm grateful how you just showed a way to build-up soil with diy compost where we can grow our own vegetables!!

I live in Florida and there are NO earth worms in our yard. I added worm castings to my containers and voila, earthworms! There must be eggs mixed in with the castings.
