The fuzziness on the leaves is what probably made you cough cuz I think that's what makes me cough when I eat it, thanks for the video though.
Wow……….I've been trying to get rid of it for years. It's great like dandelion and plantain.
He said, ‘eating with my mouth full’ 😂😂😂
NEW SUB. Awesome info. I've got a yard full and now instead of weeding it we will be eating and making tea too. Thank You for sharing.
I love it in salads and soup
If you pluck the little purple flowers, the ends of them(white part) has a sweet nectar to them.
Thanks so much! We have a ton of this in our community garden and I and the queen of allergies. God is so good!
..hehehe.. love it..😄😁🤩🤗
Just found your channel while searching for Dead Nettle to see if it was edible! So excited that it is safe to eat. Dehydrating some today:) Thanks for sharing this info. God put medicinal plants here for us and I am just learning:) I'm a new subscriber to your channel. God Bless, Judy
Yes!!! I eat purple dead nettle all the time along with other wild edibles. The flavors are more flavorful and super delicious! 👍🏻
My goodness, in all my 65 years I never knew purple dead nettle could be eaten! It’s everywhere in the Uk. Dandelion leaves yes. Thank you for yet another great piece of information Kevin.👍🌱🌱
I liked it bc you actually ate the nettle instead of just talking about it. Thanks.
I think that washing it first would be safer :/ You never know what could be on it, especially if it came from outside
The purple flowers are kind of sweat and growing up my friends and me(and lil sis) would collect it all al feast.Kind of like honeysuckles in a way.
Thank You and I subscribed.
Its also one of the 1st nectar & pollen sources for honey bees after a long struggle with winter! The pollen is blood red too
So how much do I need to eat? Will rinsing it destroy any of the nutrition – I have dogs….also, is it good for chickens and goats? I apparently have a ton of it….thought it was purple clover….ty….
Thank you! My lawn is full of purple dead nettle every spring. A couple of years back I started to research this plant and even ate some. You have helped educate me. Next spring I will definitely not only eat more of this plant but take your advice and dry it for a nutritious tea. Cheers!
