There may not be much originality to the Gamespot sideber gadget, but there is a lot of functionality. The gadget looks like an iPod-like thumb drive, which you place in any of the Gameplay, TV, Features or Games folders of your library, then connect to any power socket. When the Gamespot sideber gadget is running, press the corresponding symbol on its virtual control panel to view the information of your choosing.

The Gamespot sideber gadget has been designed for use with your PC, but it may be expanded to other platforms. The gadget is not suitable for use with Mac or handheld devices.
Features:
– The Gamespot sideber gadget runs as a Windows Gadget, which means you can run it from any PC, Mac, or handheld device with an internet connection.
– The gadget is application-specific, so you can place its media on any folder of your choice.
– The gadget uses a search function to let you search the gamespot.com website for any info – whether it be news, reviews, trailers, games, e-shop, a game’s competitions or even a particular movie.

– The gadget uses a utility function to display the screenshot of your choice.
– The gadget has a built-in control panel that acts like a virtual keyboard.
– Press the ‘Page Up’ or ‘Page Down’ buttons to scroll the page.
– The gadget allows you to highlight search words, the gadget will autofill the text that’s already displayed.
– Use the gadget to display any part of a webpage on the gamespot website.
– The gadget allows you to display any multimedia that you have already downloaded.
– The gadget can access your Facebook page, which will automatically display the wall of your choice.
– The gadget has a built in dictation function that allows you to enter text within the gadget’s control panel.
Designer’s Notes:
The gadget uses two icons. One has a light blue border and is for use with PC’s, whereas the other has a green border and is for handheld devices.

The gadgets are installable to the Windows Desktop. You will be prompted to install an application. If you already have an application installed, it will be detected and the gadget will be displayed.

Pretty cool, but I’m not sure about the size. I’m sure this works fine, but does it look good on the iPhone? I would like for it to have more space, and the “left column” to move to the side. What do you think?
Great app but… I found a bug with it. When I click “Comments” and scroll down to the bottom of the Gamespot page, the screen will scroll up a few pixels and then stop. I’ve tried re-opening the page, scrolling down, closing the page and re-opening, re-checking for the bug, all with the same results. Anyone else have this problem? I’ve tried restarting my iPhone too.
I really like it. You should still make it so that if it’s more than a couple of pages long, it will just scroll up to the top like normal. I didn’t think about that until someone mentioned it, but it’s a little annoying when you have to go through everything.
I had this same problem, and had to email them to solve it. Instead of down, it goes up a couple of pixels, then stops. Thanks for the feedback
