When I first saw the preview for Elden Ring, at first I didn’t realize that it was an action RPG. The video did make it seem a little like it was going to be something more like a fantasy turn-based-strategy game—but upon further study, I discovered that this is not the case. Rather, the world of Elden is one where players directly interact with the actions they undertake through an action-RPG by changing the environment and place life and death on the line in a live, open environment. There are no stagnant battles where players are merely spamming attacks, but rather a robust and unique battle system in which attack and defense work in tandem and the player takes an active role with buttons pushed, traps sprung, and enemies dispatched.
Although action-RPGs are common enough it seems to be not as well-known a genre as some, I feel that it is a genre that is ripe for growth. Not to say that there aren�

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohioans can blame Sept. 11, 2001 on the United States Postal Service.
The USPS, in an effort to save money, has cut Saturday service and is looking at the weekend delivery option.
Saturday mail delivery ends Sunday. The service was eliminated on July 1, reducing the number of days mail can be delivered from five to four.
The six-day-a-week standard delivery option will cost customers an additional 54 cents per letter, and for both first-class and Parcel Post, the cost increases to 80 cents.
The changes mean that mail sent one day will be delivered two days later.
“There’s no doubt about it, the change in the way we deliver mail is having an impact on rural areas,” said Mike Flannery, a spokesman for the Ohio Rural Institute.
An additional cost is that everything that gets delivered gets read. Flannery said people really appreciate the Saturday delivery of the mail.
“We have a lot of people who run a business in the mail. They rely on it,” said Flannery. “Plus, there are a lot of elderly and ill people who rely on it. They need it now.”
But Ohio Postmaster General Mary Jane Garrett stressed that the changes were made as a way to save money. She added that the postal service will still have six days a week of door-to-door service that adds to the economy.
“We are looking at all options,” Garrett said. “We will be there six days a week. It’s the way we deliver letters. That’s what we did back then.”
