E-cigarette myths are plenty and include the false ideas that they are safer than cigarettes, that they help smokers quit and that they don’t appeal to kids. Stanton …

  1. Lots of political opinions and anecdotal build-up to show… that vaping induces about 50% of potentially pro-cancer changes of normal smoking. Did not live up to the promise that vaping was "worse than cigarettes". Plenty of valid points about addiction in kids, yet severely wanting for evidence and the whole presentation appears incredible when you've exposed your central hypothesis to be a lie within 90 minutes of talking. Assuming that this one study on cancer-related changes is the strongest evidence against e-cigarettes, it's hard to imagine stifling innovation to make smoking safer all for this gentlemen's opinions.

  2. After reading the information available, it all very clear about E-cigarette Caused Lung Failure that had happened last summer. The Chest CT images and S&S diseases profit of Lung failure caused by "E-cigarettes smoking" are identical to COVID 19.

  3. This is so ridiculous. There’s a reason this guy has had more than one of his papers retracted. (If I have to spell it out for you, it’s because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about and his “findings” are based on ZERO evidence.) He, and so many others like him, just start making this crap up and people believe it! Where is all of the evidence? Where is he getting this information? He’s making it up, that’s where. And btw, juul is owned by big tobacco, so if people go back to smoking, they win either way. But real studies have been done, with real evidence showing that vaping actually IS better for you than smoking, 95% better in fact. And that it HAS helped millions of people quit smoking. And it should be recognized as such. Look at anything coming out of Public Health England on the subject. They have done the real work, and found the truth and aren’t worried about lining pockets thru big tobacco. Which is really what this all boils down to.. money. What a joke.

  4. At first I was like wow 90 minutes…. but I ended up watching the whole thing, very interesting! I love all the comprehensive data shown!

  5. Vaporizers helped me quit smoking after all approved "medicine" failed (multiple times). Over the last three years, my senses returned to me, and my health has improved. I can breath better, I can taste, and smell normally. I've stepped down from 36mg nicotine, to 3mg nicotine, and vape only for the stress relief that nicotine provides. Flavors make the experience far more enjoyable, too. I'm turning 40 this month, and yes, I enjoy flavor. Why should I be forced to vape a tobacco flavored liquid, when I prefer the taste of red vine licorice? I can understand that children also enjoy those flavors, but I think brand packaging & marketing would provide a larger benefit than removing an adult's right to choose. Along these same lines, we've had flavored alcohol for decades. Cherry vodka, Lemoncello, blackberry brandy, and so on. Not to mention every wine in existence, since they're just fermented fruit. Are these not appealing to children? Shouldn't we remove all of these liquors from the world?

There are other ways to tackle the problem, than to attack the choices adults have to make for themselves.

  6. Funny smoking my JUUL now, been smoking for 40+ year's the last 2 years been smoking JUUL my lungs do feel better, but anything inhaled is not good. I don't really care for flavors, when the Doctor said your inhaling heavy metal's that really put the fear into me. My car windows are so greasy, from smoking JUUL. Time to quit!

  7. One thing about e cigarettes is they have helped many people quit smoking. I smoked for 40 years, quit every which way, including the gum, the patch, and Wellbutrin and went back fairly soon each time. I used an e cigarette for about four months, weaned myself down with less and less nicotine while still having the inhalation and exhalation with "smoke" to fool my stupid brain, and after the last month with no nicotine in the juice i was able to drop the physical habit easily. Haven't had a smoke in almost five years now. I talked it up to some friends and half that tried quitting with it were successful, which if you knew them you'd be surprised because they were all truly dedicated life long smokers. I am aware this evidence is anecdotal and limited to me and about 10 others, but for what it's worth it is the only reason we were able to quit.
