I remember there was a story of a politician that discussed his plan and vision on what he could do for his state, and more widely for the nation. His secretary replied by saying something to the effect of "Everyone who is rational will see how your plan will be of great benefit to them and the country." When the moron interviewing Scott says "Nobody saw it coming" when referring to Trump, what he means is "None of my Left-wing friends or myself saw it coming". Everyone I knew who had followed the Clinton Benghazi and email Senate hearings, about the pay-for-play Clinton Foundation schemes, or about the way Bernie Sanders was robbed, knew there was a very good chance she would lose. As for identity politics and transgender politics, they were the other reasons we thought Trump might win. But to Left-wing nutcases, identity politics and transgender politics make complete sense and it doesn't enter their minds that most other people might disagree with them.
