Last week i received my Aruba/DPC210 eAP client. I had the need to connect this device to my Radius controller via ethernet and found the technology quite easy to set up and understand. I had to create a user-group on my Aruba controller. Followed the wizard (after logging on to the Aruba apiwizard) and was done.

I went to the ip and MAC tab and found out i could access the wifi network just by typing a username and password in the respective text boxes. (wifi name and password).

One issue i found though was when i would try to connect to other devices via the ethernet port instead of my laptop, and try to configure a way to share it via wifi. The wizard would fail. (so i have to manually select the Ethernet device on the “Connect other Network Devices” tab).

Once the driver is installed, start the driver by clicking on the Start Device Manager under the Start menu, choosing Device Manager from the list, and then selecting your wifi adapter from the list. Click on the Properties button next to the driver in the Device Manager window, and then follow the directions in the dialog to fix the driver issues. Once the driver is fixed, restart the computer and see if it works.

I am try’ng to use a Palm Pre. I have the Synergy card. I cannot get it to work. I have run the Wireless test on the card. It says there is a WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) Auth Key set. I have no idea how to get this key out of the Pre. I have yet to find a WIN program that is a help. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. UNPUBLISHED

Yesterday i was reviewing my apache logs and found out that this day i have been attacked. Since the attack occured, i have been accessing my pc/server using TOR browser and i have came to know about the fact that the attacker used DDOS attack on my server.

Sometime back, i have written down few tips to prevent/reduce this type of DDOS attack. So, today i am going to share those tips with you.

Tip #4 – Keep security holes as closed as possible.

Tip #5 – Change your passwords periodically.

Tip #6 – Keep a good password policy in place.

Tip #7 – Use antivirus software to keep your system clean.

Tip #8 – Turn off unused ports.

Tip #9 – Keep your accounts up to date.
