Collagen Supplements? CBD? Skincare Products & Treatments I Don't Believe in | Beauty w/ @Susan Yara
Do collagen supplements work? Is CBD good in skincare products? Probiotics? What do you think about microblading? I get these types of questions all the time …
I got microblading 2 years ago and it’s still there. I love it. The only downside is that I would love to change my eyebrow shape and that’s not going to happen easily. Hair still grows lush there too.
Again @susanyara stop misleading information about this product, your just a beauty vlogger, you're not even board certified dermatologist or a physician for you to advice or recommend. Collagen is a type of protein ok the definition of collagen it's self is very simple, why are you stupid enough to understand. The only collagen I recommend to my patients is verisol read about that to educate you.
What is your opinion on Co-enzyme 10? (As a supplement)
I take collagen religiously, i have stopped few time and when ever i stop i end up with soggy jawline and taking it makes my jaw line look more chiseled. Also my li0s and cheeks in shape and plumpy.
So probiotics need to be refrigerated or they die. So essentially if you're buying something in skincare, it almost definitely doesn't have probiotics that are going to do anything for you
I love microblading my brows I have had great experience with mine. ❤❤2 yrs now
Awesome info
I consumed collagen powder every day for a month in hopes it would clear my skin, but instead it made me break out with cystic acne. No thanks! It was disgusting anyway. I'll stick with a clean diet and quality skincare products.
Love the info! Do a video just for treatment names. What they call it vs what it actually is!
I love how grey you are Susan! In the sense of not black or white… You're opinions are beautifully nuanced. Thank you for the thorough information ❤️
Sooo sad that you talk like you have to catch a train and the zooming really is annoying…pitty cause great content…
Thumbs down for your CBD stance. Please look into the endocannanibnoid system. This may help you better understand the wide variety of CBD (cb1, cb2) compounds and how it acts as a balancing process versus a curing aspect. Not all CBD is the same. One compound may work on one person not another. The best piece of consumer advice is to purchase CBD products only from companies that are transparent with their lab test results. This is an unregulated market, so look for businesses that self regulate. This will help you see exactly what kind of compound is in your products. And no, I do not have a monetary connection. I would like to some day, but not until I finish researching and collecting citations.
Totally agree on microblading, I like having something when I wake up, but honestly I did it for convenience, I thought it would be an investment and now I'm still having to fill in my brows and I've spent 200 euros to look slightly better in the morning before I head out. Not worth it.
I know this isn't the focus of this video, BUT – about CBD in dogs and "placebo effect", I recommend checking out Helpful Vancouver Vet's video on CBD here on YouTube. He brings up some good points.
I agree with everything you said. 1st time everrrrr! Yay. Lol
Getting motion sickness from all the zooming in and out 🤢
I love microblading. It changed my brows and it last forever. But you need to find great preson to do it for You. Here in UK its not so expensive and saves me so much time getting ready.
For microblading it's really about your artist, your skin, and your pre/post care! It's a tattoo on your face so if you're using a ton of exfoliation or going into the sun a lot, it's going to fade super fast. My artist told me that dry skin maintains it so much better than oily skin, so be aware. I absolutely love mine and have had no brow hair loss or extensive fading. I only fill them in when I'm doing a full glam look but they look like gorgeous natural brows and have for months!
I really have to respectfully disagree on microblading. I have had my eyebrows microbladed for almost a year now and is one of the best things ever for me. I never have the need fill my eyebrows in, nor has the colored changed. Everyone has a different experience with it due to everyone having different pigmentation. I just don’t think you can generalize an opinion based on assumptions or somebody else’s experience.
I agree with Susan. Collagen supplements helps with overall health for your body, but it doesn’t become collagen in your skin – no science to it. As for microblading it hurt like hell! I happened to be allergic to the colour dye and my eye lids were swollen like Golf balls after about 1 hour post blading! Never went back for free touch up. I’ve got a lot of brow hairs anyway, stupid of me to even try micro blading!! Haha.. I would advise all my girlfriends to put eye brow products rather than blading … anytime!
People need to do more research on the people they’re getting microblading done with :/ My clients microblading have lasted them 2 years before it started to fade (no red or orange either) and when they come in I still don’t need to touch it up bc it looks fine as is- no patchiness or discolouration just a slight bit of fading
Finally! Someone who actually has a voice in the beauty industry is saying microblading is waste of money. I work in the beauty industry too and it blows my mind how many people still have to use brow products after their microblading… what’s the point?!
Susan, what do you think about halo beauty. From tati westbrook. It would be awesome if you try it
Baby Botox was trendy maybe 3/4 years ago. It was like how does those really young models/influencers have super smooth, poreless skin, and how their features are subtly changed (like their brows look more arched). It’s with micro-droplets, hence baby Botox. It’s what I get to lift my eyes!
But yea, I remember hating the term cuz it sounded like babies were getting Botox.
Idk about collagen production but collagen definitely worked for my skin dryness. Even when religiously drinking a gallon of water a day and moisturizing multiple times a day my Texas skin couldn’t keep up with winters here in Chicago. My esthetician recommended a verisol collagen powder for me to start in the fall. This was the first winter I wasn’t peeling dry skin off and putting chapstick over sandpaper lips so I’m pretty convinced. I do hope more research is done!
i actually disagree with the point about microblading. yes you definitely need to do your research, but after getting my brows done I felt much more confident everyday (I naturally have extremely light and sparse asian brows) and i'm so much less self-conscious when i go on camps or gymming now that i can't sweat or wash my brows off ahahaha but maybe i'm just too emotionally attached to them tbh
it is definitely pricey but i honestly feel like you get what you pay for, especially since it's a tattoo on your face
😊😍
Has anyone tried bone broth??
What can we use to improve production of collagen?
I would 1000% recommend microblading. If done correctly with high quality products, right technique, and a great professional it is absolutely worth it. My personal experience has been life changing, I no longer have to spend a lot of time trying to get the perfect form and filling them in to get out the house. I can be confident without adding any product to my brows and most of the time a clear brow gel is more than enough. Yes, sometimes you can choose to fill them a bit if you want a more perfected brow but it is not necessary if your procedure was done correctly with the required touch up appointment after a few weeks. Also mine have lasted 2 years to which I only required a touch up after a year and a half since I had more hair growing in the area and I could go for a thicker brow. I would understand people not having a great experience if they went to the wrong place/person to get it done. Regarding the “scars” not growing hair, that is not my case. I still get a lot of hair constantly growing in the area 🙂
Thank you Susan! ♥️
I love my microbladed brows! My first session lasted three years, and people would compliment me all the time on them – not knowing they were microbladed! Had my second round last year in April, and still going strong going to hit another year next month. They were my biggest insecurity before getting them done and now I don't even think about them! 🙂
Would love to see a video all about your favorite drug store vitamin c if you don’t have that already
Have you heard of or had experience with Fractora? Is it different than microneedling or is it essentially the same thing? Love your content Susan! 🙂
oh girl!! i am sooo disappointed on your take on CBD( oil or cream) . For me it is a miracle ingredient, for acne, eczema, sore muscles, swollen face, swollen feet after a night of partying on high heels, dark spots from pimples, sprained anything, this stuff works!! No one told me, i have used it and can't live without it. I don't know what it is _ anti inflammatory properties, balances your hydrolysis system, but it works!!! I always love all your opinions and how skepticle you are in your reviews and how you debunk many myths, but from now on i'll start taking your info with a grain of salt.
