So live in South Washington and go shop in North Oregon to minimize taxes! My favorite part about Oregon was that a $2 hamburger at Jack-in-the-Box actually costs $2, and not $2.16.
I propose Washington, Oregon and California be reconfigured into 3 states:
1. "Coastlandia" or "CalOregWash": a state running from the Mexican border to the Canadian border, with the ocean on the west and the Cascades/coastal mountains/whatever other mountains there are to the east that separate the liberal insanity from the conservative live and let live
2. "New California": basically the Eastern part of California
3. "OregWash": basically the eastern part of Oregon and Washington combined into one state.
