AutoCAD is a vector-graphics-based CAD application and was the first application to combine vector-graphics and 2D drafting, leading to the widespread use of the term Autocad instead of CAD. While historically all the functionality of AutoCAD is a result of market research and other commercial decisions, some of the features have been adopted from previous CAD applications. For example, user input is by mouse or stylus, with the stylus able to detect the angle of the pen relative to the work plane. These features reflect the perception of the user as the product manager of AutoCAD.

The icon menu in the lower right of the screen displays the main menu for each tool. The software uses a tabbed interface, with each tab having a menu of its own. At the bottom of the screen, tools, 2D and 3D views, and palettes are accessible from the lower left. The user can switch between applications, select a drawing, set an active view, and start a command. From the top, the menu bar provides an outline of commands and tools, including a dockable palette.

The use of laser therapy has been indicated for tissue healing and tissue remodeling. Our aim was to study the effects of low-intensity laser therapy (LLLT) on soft tissue healing around implants in humans. The study involved 10 patients who received LLLT on the healing areas around titanium implants after the surgical installation of the prosthesis. The treatment began on the fifth postoperative day and included four points (14.0 J/point) using an 810 nm laser diode. The laser therapy sessions were performed at the following points: 1) soft tissue around the implant; 2) wound site (incision); and 3) implant-bone junction (peri-implant). Three measurements were performed at 3, 6, and 9 months after surgery: probing depth, clinical attachment level, and keratinized mucosa. A nonparametric test was used to analyze the statistical significance of the measurements obtained. At 3, 6, and 9 months, the mean value of the distance between the gingival margin and the implant-bone junction was 1.54 ± 0.72 mm, 1.45 ± 0.73 mm,
