How do I keep a group of symlinked directories on my system?
I have a few symlinked directories, each pointing to the same directory.
If I remove one of them (e.g. due to moving it to another location), the link gets removed from the parent directory.
Is there any way to get around this?

You can use the command rmdir to remove the directories directly. However, if you don’t have write permissions on the directories in question, you’ll need to use sudo for this.
The ‘new’ script I’m proposing below is (of course) untested. I’m pretty sure it works, but since I’ve never actually needed to do something like this before, I can’t be sure. If you end up with an error, let me know what it is and I’ll see if I can figure it out.
