  1. How is marijuana a gateway drug? Every state with recreational use is shown a decline in heroin overdoses. So you are talkin stupid s*** that you know nothing about.

  2. Funny story i live in Oklahoma. I was talking to a k9 officer about making it legal. He replied they make to much money for it being illegal. Fast forward 3 months oklahoma was suing Colorado because of all the drug bust is costing to much money. I talked to k9 officer again he replied it’s taking up too much money with all the drug bust. In which I replied you cant have it both way you already said its a money maker well you should be thanking Colorado for the business…. he just shut up and walked away

  3. Weed makes you lazy? That’s crazy. I use it to get me to go to bed early so I can wake up at 5:30 everyday to workout before I have to go to work. If I didn’t I would struggle to sleep due to racing thoughts. Wake up and grind by day and relax/smoke by night.

  4. Historically, the popularity of various illicit drugs rises and falls…pot remains steady. There is no connection to pot and hard drugs. Nobody smokes a joint and says, "…But what I'd really like is some heroin." Folks who like pot like a very specific low-level buzz that pot specifically gives them. They like their pot like a social drinker likes a specific brand of booze. Has anyone ever met a hard-core drug addict who pins the start of his woes to his first puff of weed?

  5. @3:11 kids are already freaking lazy because of the internet. that's just another excuses upon the other 1,000 other excuses that people keep coming up with to not fully legalize it in Texas

  6. Legalize it. Period. Its ridiculous to think that it's somehow harmful and detrimental to the public, especially in comparison to alcohol and even ibuprofen for that matter. Let's move ahead and get on board with reality here.

  7. I am a recovering drug addict and I can tell you marijuana has never been or never will be a gateway drug… It is actually kept me from relapsing on my drug of choice and the much worse drug the one that everyone is dying on… Opiates. Drug wars a crock… I knew this long time ago… I will fight for Marijuana legalization completely federally and all… Until the day I die or until it becomes legal… Which ever comes first

  8. Lady – You brought up opiate ..guess you dont know the facts ….did you know when a state legalizes cannabis there is a minimum 25% reduced deaths due to opioids…its is NOT a GATEWAY- that's a lie ..its is an OFF RAMP— proven by numbers….and the real test >…every state that has legalization none has scaled it back all have maintained legalization or expanded the program!

  9. Marawana should always be illegal I'm a skitzophrenic from a father who use to give it to me underage. My brother has bipolar as a result from the same father sharing it and countless other people have other mental health issues but it's always overlooked. Marawana should always be illegal and people that use it should be treated cautiously because use there capable of harm

  10. In response to the "marijuana is a gateway drug" argument. I submit for your consideration that marijuana is only a gateway drug because under prohibition you are required to obtain it on the black market. Just like regular stores that offer a variety of items, a dealer offers other drugs as well so he can expand his client base. Curiosity is powerful when the thing you are curious about is right in front of you. It is the exposure to other drugs while obtaining the marijuana that is the gateway.

  11. In my experience the alcohol users are the ones in school that are doing coke popping pills while the cannabis kids are in a corner nervous to interact and smoking to themselves

  12. Anyone who's ever done a bump knows ALCOHOL is the gateway. If these dorks would look with an unbiased and predetermined opinion they'd see. Read the ways alcohol works in the body and effects the body, do the same for THC, boom case closed!

  13. Every time fox posts a debate about marijuana it just shows them getting logically defeated. I guess I’m glad the fox audience sees it, hopefully they will come around

  14. Wow this lady is super ignorant.
First of all let’s address the gateway drug argument. The substance itself is not a gateway item, but prohibition forces people to have to go through a gateway individual to acquire it. This gateway individual already knows they are breaking the law with one illegal substance and would have incentive to push substances with higher profit margins. Only those who would keep cannabis illegal are the ones who enable the interaction with these gateway individuals. Want to eliminate the gateway effect? It’s real simple: allow legal licensed dispensaries that are regulated that people can buy their cannabis at.
And as far as claiming it makes you lazy and inactive is also false. Consider the example of Micheal Phelps: Frequent cannabis user who has won more Olympic medals than any person alive.
So let’s end this closed minded bigotry towards cannabis users already, and just allow people to enjoy themselves how they see fit. End the prohibition, because your drug war is exponentially more dangerous than the pot ever was

  15. People don’t realize that the only way to make it legal throughout the USA is to vote , share posts , attend public events discussing the benefits and participation in order to be heard. Everyone always says “man I hope they make it legal” but never vote or anything to make a stronger case to do so. It’ll probably never happen if people don’t unite and show that more than 56%support legalization. Otherwise the senior citizens and uneducated will keep it illegal because they actually vote and fight it. Idk why everyone against it always says kids will use it. Kids can get access to cigarettes, alcohol and guns too. Not to mention hundreds of over the counter drugs. The responsibility of parents and proper regulation will always be important. We are asking for legalization for ADULTS hell were gonna smoke regardless so why should we be forced to face legal issues when other states don’t. That’s the argument , ADULT USE LEGALIZE IT. Don’t call us United States and openly divide us at the same time.

  16. It is not for kids ma'am. It is for adults with arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain Ect…so why is she saying it makes kids this way or that way. Living with pain for 7 years and loosing the things you once loved to do because of that pain changes your whole life and outlook on life and having something to relieve that and be able to feel happy, smile and laugh at night and sleep well like a glass of wine is a miracle.
