Love it! Any way you can raise the volume? Have the highest volume level on my phone and I can't hear the podcast while doing anything else (washing dishes/eating/etc.) without headphones in.

Exactly right on Tesla on a couple fronts. One that I think is underappreciated is the fan base you mentioned. Not only do they swarm any negative comments about any aspect of the company but they dominate comment sections of any other OEMs EVs. This has a profoundly negative reflection on the brand. Corporate governance is of course a huge problem with Tesla as well. It has been extremely frustrating for me to watch them consistently miss opportunities to expand their production capabilities in Western markets. They have one maxed out factory making cars and it is in the most expensive labor market in the country (only slight hyperbole there). The Governor of Ohio offered to make a deal for the closing chevy plant and Elon laughed him off. Plans for a factory in Germany are apparently stalled. Tesla's core product and only real revenue generation comes from delivering cars to people but they stay distracted by, oh god, how many things? From robo-taxis to designing their own AI chips, starting an insurance company, and now they are going to also design and build their own battery cells? How about they learn to make cars with good quality in the millions first. Sorry for the rant. It has just pained me so much to see them leave the opportunity they once had sitting on the table. The fall will be ugly, hurt many people.
I like the podcast idea. I listen to podcasts during commute and while I am jogging. Can't watch things on my smartphone during either so podcast takes up quite a lot of where I get information from. A podcast from Professor Galloway would be a great addition to my podcast list.

Great podcast! But volume is too low! Please get closer to the mic. I had my volume maxed on my iPhone and I could still barely hear Scott while driving
Tesla? As long as the government uses Tesla as it does with Google, Microsoft, Facebook and all the other mayor fake players, mainly orientated to fulfil agendas, destabilize other countries or markets, spy or whatever… Tesla will have a good rating and nice rewards. So, Elon Musk is not a genius, but a popular puppet… and as long as his masters need Tesla, he is in the spotlight.
When do you have to sell your shares and short Tesla? When it is clear in what moment the farce will go down the drain, as we all know that it will happen. Not this year, not 2020… but after that I wouldn't be so sure about time fed-bought.
Marihuana: fast market for fancy gamblers. Can make a lot of money on the short term. On the long term, it will surprisingly to the investors, not perform well. Cars are cars, but marihuana from the pharmaceutical industry is practically dead and does not perform as natural (couldn't find any other suitable adjective) as it has to, in order to really help. Consumers will stay away from legal pharma-grass and will still go to the black market for their happiness. In fact, it will be the marihuana thing, that will be partly responsible for the fall of big pharma, but those guys are way to greedy to know what they really did.

So Apple does not pay taxes, but charges taxes to Spotify? All these huge corporations are willingly standing in the spotlight that marks the worst of our society.

also elon didn't land rockets on barges the scientists he takes the credit for did it, he just cut them a check. dude was born on third base and has done nothing but bought glowing press coverage and media exposure to try to convince everyone he hit a triple
looking forward to this but your humor is best when it's delivered dry. don't start doing the john oliver style where you have to scream stuff after every few sentences to make sure your audience is paying attention

Scott, love you man, listen to you a lot. But I feel compelled to correct you re other auto makers “waking up” to EVs. Electrification is driven by EU 2020 and China fleet emission standards. The whole sector has known this for a decade. They’ve been playing with chemistries and form factors the whole time. This is why the models are all coming out now. Musk got there early BY LOSING MONEY ON EVERY CAR. Not what serious engineering firms do. Tesla has changed sweet FK all. Much respect.
