New laws for 2020 cover a higher minimum wage, legal marijuana and the gig economy
As the clock struck midnight, new laws took effect across the country. And the new decade started with a bonus for millions of workers. Carter Evans explains.
This is how stupid liberals are. People and giant corporations like Walmart and Amazon want to raise minimum wage. Obviously min wage workers want increased min wage but why do Corporations want it too? Simple. Raise Min wage-> destroy family and small businesses completely while Corporations simply weather the storm for a little bit taking a little bit of profit margins, than when corporations are satisfied with the huge amount of small businesses going out of businesses, they essentially created an almost monopoly than raise prices drastically to pass on the cost of minimum wage increase onto the consumers. It's a giant win/win for corporations and a giant loss/loss for Min. wage workers and small business. Also, a huge loss on middle wage workers because now they're wondering why bother going to college at all spending tens of thousands of dollars if minimum wage workers are making same amount of money as they are?
Time to Californicate Florida. It’s so behind in just about everything.
Beginning of the end when welfare class becomes ruling class
I think they should raise my everyone else's wage up by an equal amount. After all by raising minimum wage they are essentially paying everyone else less. I make $30hr after minimum wage increase I should he make $38hr. Now apparently my work isn't valued as much cause I'm getting paid less after this increase. Socialism!!! The way this country is going it's going to turn into everyone gets paid minimum wage whether your mopping the floors or the CEO!
Why not $174,000 per year for all US workers… same as members of Congress…..
Wow. Minimum wage goes up. Do people realize, that product prices go up as well. All the fast food joints will need to raise the prices now. They must raise the price because they pay more in wages.
Solar panel requirements on new homes- about time! $10,000 is well within a fair price range, and in CA, that's crazy cheap when considering that includes the construction and overhead required to install those on a home! And though solar panel technologies weren't as cost efficient 20 years ago as they are today, California should have implaced solar paneling regulations back then, along with a great many other laws, to help curb their current economic crises, unfolding just before us, like a wave hurdling back into the sea.
P.S. It would have been hilarious if Carter Evans' car began rolling out of park into traffic, just as he was finishing up his pretty little speech (comically not real…psychos….😉)
