  1. I'll correct any bullshit you might say… I've got more time growing with LED lights, samsung 301h +b. And I've been growing for 30+ years starting g with CFL and HID MH magnetic ballast. Then HPS, then both, then both with dimmable electronic ballasts. Then CMH, till about 2015.. then cree cobs and HLG 288 QBs. With LM561C diodes, then V2, then Rspec with lm301b… now qb648 diablo boards on hlg 600-H fixtures in flower amd cree cobs in 5000k and 6500k with bspec qb288s in veg. So ya
Let me tell you…. nothing comes close to the cree cobs and the hlg288qb rspecs. Those lights changed the game more than any other technical advance in growing ever.. it takes 1100 watts to cover a 5.5×5.5 area, where 650 watts of diablo boards flower 6.5×6.5 area with about half the watts…

Not only do the save you money, the yeild is larger with led, the plants have more flavor and color and they finish faster and are far more healthy.

Nothing has been a better tool in growi g food or cannabis as the led diode has been. If anyone tells you otherwise they do not know shit…

CFL grown plants are thin, lighter in color, and have a thinner skin, Top Bin LED grown cannabis plants have a reddish and bluish tinge to them with a nice deep green color… the leaves on my indoor plants look better, and even smell more than the sun grown monster 6 pound outdoor plants I grow. Theirs really no comparison, the led grown product is far superior, amd I'm sure it's got alot to do with the nutes and coco, but it's quite astonishing.

The led quality, and there are alot of teirs of led, from leds that are about as strong as hps watt for watt, and ones that are almost 3x as strong as hps watt for watt,, and everything in between and some even worse.

So when I say led in a good way, I only mean those few cob brands like citizen, cree, luminox, amd the samsung LM diodes and osram diodes… I'm not talking about garbage chineese LEDz.

But the top bin, best of the best leds will make a product better than the best outdoor….. HPS can be better than most outdoor but the stuff grown in choice locals, like northern California. But his can almost equal the best of the cali outdoor and beat your regular outdoor. And CFl grown bud is not gonna be too great, your average outdoor bud will rival it or plain out beat it up every time.

But that's the skinny…. you want the best lights for the best bud… buy hlg quantum boards or grow 1 plant under 1 54 watt cob, or a big plant under a 75 watt or 100 watt cob. I've grown 189 grams with a 54 watt citizen cob pin sink led. 54 fkn watts grew 189 grams… I think that's pretty good… you would all be jealous to see my yeilds from my 1950 watt HLG 288 rspec grow room. Its 5×15. 3 HLG600-H FIxtures over 2 4×6 and 1 2×4 hydrofarm water trays. Its sick.

  2. Wow so confused still about the whole growing clones in a shed…in our climate.Sudbury Ontario .Not sure when maybe in 2 weeks.Waiting on clones. And new so lots of research ,asking growers how to's.
    Thanks

  3. For an 8×20 greenhouse dedicated to microgreens in zone 7 and wanting year-round production on a VERY small budget I am guessing you'd suggest 6500K or daylight CFL's, and transition to LEDs if economics all in the future, is that correct?

  4. Nice vid.. I wanna go with leds in my grow room and looking between the $300 range i have found the bestva 3000w and the kingled 3000w which would you recommend or if you know of a better one ..thanks

  5. CFL bulbs are super cheap now. Even the industrial grow ones. They do burn out more frequently than the LED ones. So high initial cost is a thing, but be aware you'll go through bulbs faster with CFL bulbs. But for seedlings and clones, we run about 30W per sq foot of growing space. Amazing results for pennies a day. It produces such a nice light.

  6. It's funny, I have a huge 400W HPS fixture that lights my sidewalk / driveway, and initially wondered if I would use it for a grow light some day. 5 years later, and I hate to run it… it really makes a huge draw on the electric bill.
For growing, I'm using those super-slim 4 ft florescent bulbs (t5) currently, but will buy LED next time, I think. A local friend (YT: Hidden Harvest Grow Lights) sells them, so I'm going to the "local thing" and buy from him next time.
