  1. Hi, I'm 37 and starting my TTC journey for my first child. THANK YOU so much for this video. Nothing has made me more at ease and reassured than this. I know age is just a number and there is no magic "switch" that gets flicked off, but hearing you break it down so clearly and seeing the research made a world of difference for me. My plans have been slightly put on hold due to COVID-19. I live in Ontario, Canada and all non-essential travel has been suspended. We are using a known sperm donor and doing HI so I will have to wait until travel is safe again before starting to actively try. I am using this time to improve my diet, fitness, and taking supplements so that I'll have the recommended three months of taking prenatals before I become pregnant. Can you share more about the importance of sex outside of actively trying to conceive? Should I really be having sex twice a week even if it has nothing to do with conception? Thank you again so much for sharing your expertise with us. It can be rather disheartening to constantly be told that I am at increased risk for so many issues just because of my age.

  2. I’m 47 & never been pregnant. Never really had the chance to try until 6mo ago, when I finally met the love of my life! I have basically been told that my chances are as good as a snowball’s chance in hell. Donor egg is my only option. I have a small fibroid & experiencing irregular periods. I’ve been changing my diet & outlook on life with hopes that I can prove these doctors wrong!!

  3. Hi there I'm 43 next month I have 5 kids already (from previous relationship) I had essure put in 6yrs ago before I met my fiancé who has 1 child, and we would like to have a child together
what's a better option 4 me essure reversal or just do ivf?

  4. I'm 42 and have two sons and I don't want to be done. I want more children. Fertility doctor pressured me into IVF just for having a blocked fallopian tube and then when it failed said I needed donor eggs. I had my youngest at 39…so he's full crap.

  5. I’m 47 I’ve had 7 children 3 after 37. I have been pregnant 3xs in 3 years with losses my most recent was 2 months ago with a 12 week loss due to a subchorionic hemorrhage. I had a folks up with my dr yesterday and the verdict is I am definitely fertile and will most likely continue to have spontaneous pregnancies and eventually have a baby my last success pregnancy was at age 40 with a healthy baby girl she was our 7th child

  6. I Just turned 35 , and wanting to conceive naturally . I’m currently suffering with hormone imbalance, and absent period . I stopped birth control 6 months ago. Praying that I can regain period and ovulation soon.

  7. Dr. Sklar, thank you for this video. You published it on my 41st birthday. My period and ovulation are normal, usually b/t days 12-14 of my cycle. I am slightly overweight and need to exercise more often but I've become more strict with my diet and will be removing caffeine. I've taken the Conception prenatal vitamin, CoQ10, fish oil and a baby aspirin for several months now and I've reduced stress significantly and sleeping much better so I'm confident I will soon conceive and carry to term a healthy baby….I will check out FH PRO. I'm taking Conception but FH PRO maybe a better option. Thanks again!

  8. I have so many questions! I just got married and I'm 35. We want to get pregnant. I've had 2 myomectomies due to fibroids. Currently on progestrone full time to stop excessive bleeding. I live in Houston and can't find help. Any suggestions???

  9. Hi Marc. My name is Esther, I am 44 and TTC. November 2018 we lost twins at 8 weeks and again November 2019 another baby at 8 weeks. The first was natural miscarriage the second I was rushed to hospital due to hemorrhaging and had to have emergency D&C. I just started my 3d cycle after last miscarriage and pray we will become pregnant and have a baby this year!

  10. I just turned 39. I’ve had two chemical pregnancies. My last one was two years ago. I was told I have high fsh(even though I later requested my test results and I see these levels would go up and down month to month). My fertility doctor said because of my levels and miscarriages it’s an indication I have low egg reserve and suggested I take coq10 and dhea. I have endometriosis and fibroids. So yeah I’m losing all hope of getting pregnant. Only waiting on a miracle from God.

  11. Would love the stats on 45+ if you have any? I had a loss at 28 weeks at age 44. I am now 46 and wondering what my chances are at conceiving. Very healthy woman. Maybe need more parasympathetic attention though. 🙂
