TRolePDF Free Download
TRolePDF is a FREE VCL component for Borland Delphi and C++Builder. It includes a TCanvas for creating Adobe .pdf files. It uses our PDF.DLL to create the .pdf files. We use it in our Rolehelp and PDF Creator to create the .pdf documents.
Note: The PDF.DLL is designed to support .rtf and .html files drawing methods (using Rich Editors like TRichView), so NOT all TCanvas properties and methods are supported (like Poly, Arc, �) because it is not required to draw .rtf and .html files.
Here are some key features of “TRolePDF”:
· Uses True Type Fonts as WinAnsiEncoding and Costum Encoding.
· PDF version will be set to PDF-1.2 (adobe 3.0-6.0), but if unicode characters were used the PDF version will be set to PDF-1.5 (adobe 6 and up only).
· Page stream, and XObjects will be compressed automatically.
· Resolution is set to Screen Pixels Per Inch automatically.
· Support of nested outlines (Table of Contents)
· AcroForm is not implemented (not required to draw .rtf or .html files).
· Java is not implemented (not required to draw .rtf or .html files).
· Trial version is limited to create 10 pages per .pdf file without watermark, stamp or any other special remarks to the author. It is useful to create documents like data sheets, features matrix, what’s new, quick start guide, etc…
· Security not implemented yet (owner password, User password, can print, edit…).
· Url links not implemented yet.
· TRolePDF.Canvas is a TMetaFileCanvas.
· When playing the MetaFile all images will be read as a TBitmap.
· Images PixelFormat will be set to pf24bit and will be compressed using Delphi zlib (included with Delphi Pro).
· Outlines is a TList converted to Adobe .pdf commands according to Adobe PDFReference.pdf using the /FitH operator on EndDoc method.
Limitations:
· limited to create 10 pages per .pdf file without watermark, stamp or any other special remarks to the author

A new version was released on the day of the IJG meeting (July 11) in San Diego.
The new version includes a few more changes and improvements for users of the nopaste (rJW) component and also introduces some changes for users of this component and the PrintScreen component (rR).
Easiest way to install
nopaste comes in two versions:

The nopaste.win version is the same as the nopaste.info except it contains the nopaste component, which saves a windows clipboard full of text into a file with a.Txt file extension (Can be read on any Windows PC).

[ What’s New ] · Added the Page stream, and XObject to the Canvas.
· It allow to draw all the content on the page, without the need to draw the PageBackground, Title, Author, andSubject as external objects.
· It fixes the bug of DLL not loaded in RTL.
· When including an external font, it will use the FONT.DLL from the.prc project file.
· It can use also: “NetIPAddress” (for IPv6), “NetPortNumber” and “NetServerNumber” (for Net.pas).
· Added a method to get and set the Default Font and Default Font Size in Delphi. It is required to set the Font in TRolePDF.Canvas.
· And some other bug fix and improvement.
[ Known Issues ] · When using in Delphi, with showas, best resolution is 96dpi with 96dpi font.
· When using in Delphi, with rtl or lcid 0, the compiler generate an error in TCanvas and TRolePDF.CanvasSet… method.
· When seting all attributes of TRolePDF.Canvas.Size to size, font and other settings, it will not set the font size to the right value.
· The TCanvas use the value that set in the Attribute Table when drawing the Content.
· It will not yet support the Unicode curve (most asian and some european characters).
· When adding an external TCanvas it will not allow you to draw directly or not all the content to the Page. You must draw it as an external object.
· When using embedded Acrobat Reader, it create empty PDF files and not the expected pdf files.
· Some properties like Rounded Corners are not yet supported.
· Small letter option of old Acrobat Reader are not supported yet.
· We would like to support /FitH on any object but at the moment it is only supported on TRolePDF.Canvas.
