Real Doctor Reacts to NURSE JACKIE | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike
This one is for all those nurses out there that requested I check out this show. I had no idea what I was getting myself into as Nurse Jackie is a very fresh …
I absolutely LOVE these! Nurse Jackie is an all time fave, please do more episodes ❤️
I'm going to have to disagree with excusing mean nurses. My sister is a nurse and some of her senior nurses are straight up bullies and they use "patient care" as an excuse to be horrible. It's unacceptable and bullying in nursing is a serious problem. I don't think it's alright to be nice to patients and horrible to your staff. Nurses are wonderful (I'm training to be a veterinary nurse), but they're not all saints.
Pyxis machine used in Greys Anatomy… it was a disaster 😨
The girl in the bunny scrubs is a great actress. She was in an episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent.
My boyfriend has gotten hit by cars while riding his bike at least 3 times in the past year. Never wearing a helmet, but luckily the cars weren't going very fast so he wasn't hurt too bad. Bike and pedestrian accidents are probably one of the scariest kind of accidents.
There is also bullying in nursing. I get there is goodness in all, but there can be horrible staff that bullies new nurses…
Love the vids but i have to disagree with how you say Glasgow, it almost sounds like you are saying glass cow.
the motorcycleguy duied the same way derek sheperd died in greys anatomy their was a bleed in the head but some dumbass decided not toget a head scan it sad expecially dereck i almost cried
I know this video was made months ago but I have to comment on the danger of riding a bike that Dr. Mike was talking about (2.35-2.52). It is very true that riding a bike is dangerous, and many bike riders indeed don't wear helmets. However, I must point out that the risk of riding a bicycle is actually very low if you are in a place that accommodates for it in its laws. I am Dutch, and many know about our cycling culture. In the Netherlands, bikes have right of way. There is an entire transport system dedicated to bicycles, and drivers will yield to cyclists. They take priority in design and traffic flow. In addition, due to the "forgiving infrastructure", users are able to make errors and emerge relatively unscathed. The reason the speed limit in living areas is 30 kilometers per hour (about 18-19 mph) is because at a speed in excess of 30 kilometers per hour the cyclist is not likely to survive Even though nobody wears bike helmets in the Netherlands, the fatality rate there is 6 times smaller than that of the United States. Here's a great article by Dan Kois on the subject: https://www.newyorker.com/culture/personal-history/how-i-learned-to-cycle-like-a-dutchman

honestly would love Doctor Mike to look at some of the UK medical drama shows
oh that American pronunciation of Glasgow is brutal
I have seizures so I can't drive cars, and I also have severe anxiety and now that I know how dangerous bikes are I guess imma be walking everyone forever haha
Oh hey its Ellen and that guy from twilight
I watched all of the episodes of nuse Jackie
She snortin adderall
Dr. Mike: “I like her bunny 🐰 scrubs, I’m jealous; I want a pair of that”. Id love to see Dr. Mike wearing bunny scrubs 😍
You should really watch more of this show. They get a Pyxis later. And the little "cherry tomatoes" are granules inside a capsule.
Dr. Mike. It's Adderall slow release. I'm 87.99% sure.
Like for peewoop comment for beewoop
It's extended release Adderall. Well, instant since she bypassed the capsule. AAAAND they get a pyxis later in the show!
Dr. mike= bikes are very dangerous
Me= sitting there with a broken scaphoid from crashing my bike
Lol she is a practical lover. He is dead (Nothing to change that) she is heavily pregnant, living pay cheque to P C & probably like most people have not much money saved. Hell yea! I love you babe but let's sell a kidney for our child lol
Dr. Mike: riding a bike is INCREDIBLY dangerous. Me, a dutch person: what? Helmet?
My mom watched that show, shes a charge nurse at the Mayo hospital in Rochester MN, works ER, 10+ years, she loved this show, just didnt like the idea that the show kinda perpetuates the idea that nurses and doctors are all drug addicts. Or the idea that hospital staff are having sex all the time like other shows do, like every time you'd open a broom closet you could find people doing it. Lol
Those pills look like the ones my doctor prescribed for my sinuses🤣🤣
I see all these Cells At Work comments, but Osmosis Jones is what Dr. Mike should also react too (:
Doc is a Brooklyn guy. I knew why I liked him 👍
Not even a full minute in and this show is already making me cringe
3:17 "Inappropriate sexual touches, It's like Tourette's" I'm finna smack a bitch
I wonder what do you think about Kermit Gosnell.
this is not how the actual pills look – this is the powder from inside a capsule. instead of ingesting the capsules she opens them and snorts the insides, I assume for quicker effect
Your right ear is more handsome than my face
Dr. Mike they do have a system in place for reporting medical errors whether it's a fall, medication error, or pretty much anything goes wrong. In the hospital in my town it's called a QRR. Also the pyxis doesn't prevent people from stealing narcotics it is easier than it seems.
Brooklyn….ahhh I just found your channel and was trying to place your accent. Nice!
At the hospital near my house the nurses wear festive scrubs around the holiday season. It's awesome.
1:20, I think lowest GCS score is 3 and the range is 3-15, not 0-15…. :/
whatever hospital Nurse Jackie was at, was pretty incompetent… also i agree, i got along with the more mean nurses, in my line of work i may see or be a shoulder for some of the staff, in many cases if Hippa isn't being violated a person may vent some feelings to a trusted source, many people didn't seek therapy. I found myself learning rather quickly who was there for the patients and who was there for a paycheck. Often putting me in a situation of respect as i would at quickly as one should from the more Nasty Nurses because i knew it was not about their appearance but for the better of a patient. It is interesting seeing you react and talk about this because its a perspective I never got working in a hospital as a smaller member of the larger workforce, or important workforce as ive heard it referred.
What a great show. What a sad ending.
I love Edie Falco.
Obviously he has never seen the show, he just described the show
Pharmacy related human here! Not 100% sure WHAT the red bubbles are but I CAN tell you theyre from the inside of an extended release capsule medication. I would guess it's likely an amphetamine type such as adderall.
Also no one does that lol. Snorting those meds is just… A waste… Smh.
"and this lady is choking on —" "—16 year old male"
Get him the bunny scrubs 🐇🐰
In New York, the signature in the organ donor box is not valid unless the person has the organ donor paperwork filed with the Department of Health (which thankfully can be filled out online now).

MIke – Where did you find the water mark for your videos? the stethoscope the right corner? Also, I had my lower regions shown to the whole nurses station of staff and strangers at Mercy-Jefferson ER in Festus, MO while getting a pelvic exam. I refuse to pay that bill.
